So Williamson either gets out for less than 13 14 or scores a ton 😉 🙂

    Pedant Alert:
    13 is not less than 13. 😉

    Correct you are 🤣

    10/2.

If this was a combat sport the corner would throw in the towel

Assuming this test ends badly for South Africa as it looks it will, and the 2nd test goes the same way
Something tells me this will be the last time they will take part in a series in NZ while their local T20 comp is going.
No way they will want to suffer this type of humiliation again.

Yeah but remember they got hammered by an innings in the first test in 2022 only to come back and win the second.

That will surely be in the back of everyone’s mind much as it seems impossible to contemplate that happening again.

SA have had a bit of luck in the last 3 or 4 overs, 3 streaky edges or miscues have just gone wide of close in fielders.

Tricky batting conditions against the spinners.

Indian and Pakistan fans on Social media having a field day going on about KW being a flat track bully with his two tons against a weak SA team.

Average of 67 at home with 18 hundreds. Ungodly stats.

But 13 hundreds away at 45 is still a damn site better than most. Even in this age of slightly inflated batting averages compared to previous eras an average over 40 is a class player.

Of course there’s no convincing those bone heads of that.

I guess they'll very much be Virat and Babar fans, rather than cricket fans.

He is not in that class, very good player but his numbers don’t add up. Kohli is much closer and obviously they have incredible ODI numbers ( so much of which is played on roads at home as if to deflate their own shitty arguements )

Who scored the most runs in this game - on a not flat track? 🙂

Kane Williamson 100% is the greatest batsmen NZ has produced. And to me stands as the No.1 test batsmen at the moment.I don't always agree with rankings but Kane at No.1 is exactly how it should be.
Kane has had to bat on seaming pitches here in NZ when we use to produce them, play in foreign conditions a lot more than other test batsmen as we play more tests away than at home atm.

There is an argument to be made that due to scheduling/dollars Indian, English and Aus players face more tough competition by playing against each other more often than players outside the top 3.

Its not like we have flat tracks over here, we are very seam and swing friendly. Plenty of very good bowlers from other teams have come over and wrecked havoc on our batsmen over the years, think CourtneyWalsh for the Windies in the early 90's. Took 13 wickets for fuck all in Wellington.
At their peak Wasim and Waqar fucked us over again and again anytime they visited.

you want your flat tracks, go to Australia or India..

@Virgil as much as loath as i am to start ANOTHER 90s black caps bullshit chat

but for like a decade it felt like Pakistan toured every fucking summer, and those two just filled their boots against us.

Not taking anything away from the two Ws. Absolutely legendary fast bowlers…..a more terrifying pair I can’t imagine.

…but our two Blairs opening ( Hartland/Pocock, combined career average of 38 ) didn’t offer much resistance

David Bedingham sounds like he should be a tall, wispy sort of character.

Peterson looks like Santner is going to get him out almost every ball.
