It was a tight single even without the collision, wonder if Kane would have made his ground... Which is to say I'm not sure it was entirely Young's fault.

@barbarian Kane is the senior player and greatest batsmen we've ever produced. Young is the rookie still trying to find his feet in the team. It was 100% Young's fault.

This gives me hope as a dour opener of fairly average ability and limited shots, in middle age with declining eyesight and hand-eye coordination, that I too may yet realise a lifelong ambition to play Test cricket.
