@Damo Love it. But we have to negotiate Lyon... and we appear unable to play spin

I hear you but Kane is due a big innings and just need one or two to bat around him.

Phillips goes bang, bang and Head and Mitchmarsh are back in the hut.

127/6 - but, 331 ahead and the horse's hooves can barely be heard pouding up the road!

A batsman who can bowl spin as well as he can will be a massive addition down the line. With Ravindra at the other end you can actually see how Santner was surplus to requirements….

Phillips gets green at bat-pad and has 5/38.

    146/8

Kugeleijn drops Cummins - makes a bollocks of one in the outfield!

Scott K is such a nothing selection at Test level.

The fielding coach (if any) should be fired into the sun. Along with half the team.

I don't know if it has been mentioned but our dropped catches are really costly.

Rolling the dice at quite long odds.

He might bowl wicket taking deliveries and he might score quick runs, but he's unlikely to do either consistently.

Now Nicholls is on the park and drops another!

    Our catching is fucking appalling.

Is the Black Caps fielding coach pulling a George Constanza and purposely trying to get fired?

We used to be one of the best in the field, regardless of how crap we were at everything else.

What the hell has happened, how have we become so fucking bad?

I just don’t understand how professional cricketers can drop so many catches.

There just can't be one. If there is one, they are useless beyond belief.

Henry knocks over Starc and the Australians are all out for 164.

Unfortunately, we need 369 for victory.

I don't like our chances on this pitch and against their attack.

I think I'll set us a target of winning the second innings battle. Can we get 165? I wouldn't bet on it! 🙂

18 years since a NZ spinner has taken a 5for in NZ.

It will take a special batting performance to get home here. At the very least I want to see some fight from out batsmen, and to make the Aussies work hard for their wickets.

Imagine if we could catch. Lyon would have been nowhere this morning. And if we didn't have Southee and Scott K in the mix trying to dismiss Hazelwood and Green yesterday morning.

They cupboard isn't exactly full, but I'm not surprised that Wagner retired once he realised they weren't picking him ahead of Cougar Lion...
