My son has just discovered Toy Story 1 & 2, very cute watching a 2 year old running around say "To Infinity and Beyond!"<br />
<br />
Looks like they aren't shying away from the darker themes as well as the humour, so it should be good. And has there been a bad pixar film? Can anybody name one, they have crazy levels of quality.
<br />
<br />
Nope cant think of any dud they have made, theres couple i didnt enjoy as much (yep i know they are for kids but they are made so well adults should enjoy watching them as well)<br />
<br />
Caught 'Up' a couple weeks ago, brilliant movie. The first part with the couple growing old together had the Mrs in tears.<br />
<br />
Toy Story 2 ranks right up there as one of the best sequels ever.

Liam Neeson is going fully fledged action star these days. First Taken and now this. Looks watchable.

Watched "Clash of the Titans" in 3D yesterday. I give it the thumbs up.<br />
<br />
Its simple, a trifle cliched in parts, and Sam Worthington acts like a bricklayer from Perth, but shit, it had all the ingredients i look for in a mythical adventure. Visually its pretty cool too, with the action all being fairly hectic rather than looking all cool and polished.

Tim, that's just immature and gratuitous. I love it, keep them coming <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

That is an outstanding compilation and commentary. I had forgotten how bizarre some of those death scenes were, especially the Seagal ones. The 80s were a real high point for gratuitous movie violence.

Was my fave movie of last year, and despite being a cartoon, might've been the most human. 9.5/10<br />
<br />
Finally watched "Anvil: The Story of Anvil" last night. Advance billing is a bullseye, it was one of the most satisfying films I've seen in a while. "Spinal Tap" meets "FUBAR," and possibly better than both. Must-see for anybody who loves rock & roll, and rewarding for everybody else too. 9/10<br />
<br />
Watched the "Fantastic Mr. Fox" on the weekend. Recommend. 7.5/10

Saw Crazy Heart last night, and sure I think Jeff Bridges deserved an Oscar (but probably more for Big Lebowski than Bad Blake), but I came away thinking "was that it??" I'm not even sure I can articulate the reason for this feeling. I just didn't believe the characters played by Colin Farrell or Maggie Gylenhall (sp?). Oh well I have another episode of The Pacific to watch

Few movies this easter weekend for me.<br />
<br />
Sherlock Holmes - great movie, well worth the watch. Downey Jr just gets better and better everytime I see him for mine.<br />
Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus - interesting and quirky, probably worth a watch but didn't shiver my timbers.<br />
Jennifers Body - pretty shit really, but I guess if you're a fan of Megan Fox you may want to watch.<br />
Knowing - fairly predictable and not really worth a watch, bit of a shit ending.<br />
Ninja Assassin - No.<br />
<br />
Bit old but - saw the Incredibles for the first time - rate it! Fun movie.

Read a review online which really slated the 3D side of this. How did you guys find it - as from the trailers I was thinking of going this weekend to it.

I heard that Titans wasn't shot in 3D, but rather "push-processed" in post-production to cash in on the current 3D trend. I haven't seen it yet.

I'd still definitely recommend going to see it and probably in 3D - although I don't think you'd be missing too much if it wasn't 3D.

Red - yes it was added after the fact. Not shot in 3D, but done post production.

Ah, i did not know that, it would explain why the 3D side of it wasn't as prominent as in Avatar. Still looked cool though. But yea, probably not much less cool in 2D.<br />
<br />
Incidentally, the 3D thing has gone too fucking far. I saw a trailer for a 3D dance movie for christ's sake! The movie looked terrible, and i really fail to see what the 3D aspect is going to add to it. Maybe to cover the horrible premis/writing/acting.
