Foxy is doing just awesome. Hasn’t been great with the big stick off the tee at times and has done some great scrambling. Also some brilliant par 3 tee shots - can put them really really close at times.

    Rory eh…why a flop!

Rory probably put too much pressure on himself after talking all that shit about LIV. The guy should be thanking them, seeing as the PGA have upped the ante in the winnings stakes and that never would have happened without LIV

@canefan dunno, I just think its just pressure to win the masters for Rory, how he was hitting it in recent weeks, he should have been well under, but I expect it is just the pressure he puts on himself from the get go, Augusta is up there as one of THE courses to win at, similarly winning The Open at St Andrews.

I still think some of the shit being played out in the media is overly theatrical, Rory and Koepka are friends so I dont think that is an issue.

They still live close by in Florida and still practice together. Just a few guys on both sides talking smack, but in reality most of them are probably cool with each other

Well there you have it Jon Rahm came from behind to win the green jacket, his second career major title and a nice paycheck of $3.2 million.
3 LIV golfers finishing in the top 5 who would have predicted that? Mickelson turned back the clock shooting a 7 under 65 to put himself into contention.

Ryan Fox finished T-26 at Even par taking home $147,000 for his efforts.

Great final round of 6 under 69 from Jordan Speith to rocket himself up the leaderboard and finish T-4

@1kiwi as much of a douche I think Phil is, you gotta admire his ability and ticker, think it also puts the theory that the LIV guys would struggle with the 72 holes format to bed too.

And he and Speith went toe to toe for 18 and were really the only ones to put much scoreboard heat on Rahm when Koepka was battling.

Rahm just looked too composed out there, seemed like he played simply to not lose a few times, and it worked, but well done that man, certainly a bit unorthodox with being born with club foot, but gee he generates power from his swing.

Who is everyone's pick to take it out this year? Will Rory finally get the monkey off his back to take home a green jacket, maybe Rahm goes back to back or will Scottie Scheffler continue his crazy 2024 form and win it for a second time? Scheffler is the favorite at the TAB at $5 followed by Rory at $11 & Rahm close behind at $13. Ryan Fox is way down at $176

Nah, I want it to go to someone everyone likes, fans and other players alike. A real stand up bloke. Someone like Mickelson.

I reckon Matsuyama or Koepka are good shouts, I wouldn't mind Rory getting there, but doubt he will until he removes himself from being the PGA mouthpiece and focuses on the golf.

I see Dustin still only $31 but I think he is the epitome of what people thought would happen to all LIV players when they no longer had the "competitive" drive week in week out.

I've always been a fan of Adam Scott, but at $101 he is sitting with Tiger, I'll be surprised if Tiger starts, let alone makes the cut.

Love to see Fox on the leaderboard but he's battling himself at the moment, as if Augusta wasnt tough enough

                    What's that worth at $5. And don't say -$5 ... 🙂 ($880 apparently).

Might just drop $5 just for shits and giggles.

I reckon Scheffler is definitely going to be one to watch but also players like Will Zalatoris, Wyndham Clark, Cameron Young, Ludvig Aberg even Xander Schauffele would be worth keeping an eye on too.
I'd love to see someone like Sahith Theegala, Tommy Fleetwood or Min Woo Lee come out on top though.

Given up on golf since the whole LIV thing.

However seeing the masters thread open again has got the excitement levels up!

Expect Scheffler to win with a whole group of unknowns (to me, anyway) in the chasing pack.

Be interesting to see how up for it the players look.

Koepka for me. But yeah Scheffler is in fine form and I think he's going to be very hard to beat.

Some golf experts not counting out the likes of Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama or Jordan Speith to win.

Round 1-2 groups have been released and Ryan Fox is playing alongside Sergio Garcia & Chris Kirk.

                                    Couple of marquee groups include
Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, Cameron Smith

Rahm / Fitzpatrick pairing has a pretty good chance of producing the winner as well.

I will genuinely be surprised though of Scheffler doesn't win it. Double the surprise if the winner comes from a LIV golfer.
