Awesome stuff you see on the internet

Without a definitive list of trilogies it's hard to say definitely, but, it likely wouldn't make mine, LOTR just isn't my bag. Watched them all once and have never felt the need to watch them again. Have nothing against them though, just not for me.
Although if @Machpants stands by his claim that the original trilogy are pretty average movies then I will have to ascribe that rating to the LOTR trilogy too.

The Best Film Trilogies Out There - Empire
That's a terrible list Empire, I'm removing you from my podcast feed just for having the prequels in the list.

I forgot about Blade, the Lecter trilogy, the jersey trilogy, Mad Max and the Evil Dead trilogy….although, again there’s a few reboots and extra movies in that bunch too so not technically trilogies in some cases.
All of them terrific fun in different ways.
Slightly triggered by number one, and I knew @Nepia would be along quicksmart to have a dig at number 15

To be fair - that's actually a fairly good list.
Obviously some of them included some pretty poor later entries.
But including the Vengeance Trilogy redeems all sins...
Strongest links: Vengeance, Of The Dead, Mariachi
Weakest links: Millenium, Star-Wars-Prequels
LOTR probably stands up (and has the obvious benefits of) as being something that was a pre-planned/pre-budgeted entire project... (one of?) the first trilogies which was envisioned as such, and executed as such, and therefore put in front of the gormless masses as a seamless whole. -

I'm as equally offended by the Godfather Trilogy not being number 1 regardless of the drop in quality of GF3, in fact it should have taken it on the strength of the GF alone.

@Nepia and I agree on something about film lol, seriously how the fuck does the Godfather trilogy not have daylight as second

I watched the LOTR trilogy again with my boy recently for the first time since I saw them at the movies, and they were way better than I remembered, so they shot up my list after that, just brilliant movies.
I was pretty young when they came out so probably didn't remember them as well as I thought I did.

because it's boring, and just made for piston wristed gibbons of a certain age to crap on about it because they think it makes them look intellectual and shit.
If the two options to watch were any of the only 3 Indiana Jones movies that actually exist, and The Godfather, approximately zero times out of 10 am i picking The Godfather.
