Can we safely say the Saders chance for the final 8 are gone?

I don't think it was likely the Brumby would have caught it even if Strange. He may have but if I was a betting man I reckon he wouldn't.

On that basis I don't agree with the call. However can't argue with it too strongly either.

          No.

Two wins and the Drua not getting points and they get there.

          Nuts eh

Just been leaked to me that Quinten Strange has been approached by the One New Zealand Warriors to swap codes effective immediately.

Ironically even if that happened Drua would have 5 wins and Crusaders would have 4

@Bones I thought it was a penalty try, Strange denied the Brumbies chaser a chance to get there by doing something completely illegal. A dumb play.

Watch the replay and what the chaser was trying to do (hint: he wasn't trying to catch it)

@Bones Well he should have removed all doubt by not punching the ball dead, and if he does it with the Brumbies player that close to the ball which he did, he left the refs with no choice. It was a complete brain explosion.

@Damo Pretty much this. I do see your and @Bones point, but with that evidence, you really are playing with fire doing what Strange did.

How thrilled would you be to have a teammate cost you the game doing something so dumb?

SBW did the same thing against France. Unfortunately the outcome was the same.

Strange looked at the ref as if it was the first time he heard the law. As soon as I saw it I realised what was next

Just saw the video of the Strange incident.

Can see why they went penalty try; foul play with a player in the area competing. Ultimately, irrelevant and totally avoidable.

Yeah, it was definitely a penalty for a deliberate action so an easy 3 pts.

Good to see Hotham starting to grow into a Super Level halfback. Still a way to go for the kid but over the last few games I think he has showed promise.

@Crazy-Horse He's looking very good after a shaky start to the season. His running game has been very good.

Drummond can't even get a run off the bench these days.

Hotham's strength has always been his running game. He is deceptively strong, and has the ability to bust tackles.

While the season is pretty close to a right off aside from the remaining two games and whether results fall our way, at least we have blooded some newbies.

Strange must have been watching the 1985 Ranfurly Shield game recently, and decided if John Kirwan could get away with it in the dying seconds of that game, then why not him 39 years later?

Only one outcome from the Strange brainfart.
Two things stand out from this match which seem to highlight the problems the team is having. When Strange didn't catch a high pass in midfield, he threw his hands in the air in frustration, and started walking with his hands on his hips. WTF? This isn't club rugby. Where is the attitude?
Second, Crusaders scrum on top going towards the Brumbies tryline and they release the ball. WTF? There is a serious lack of decision-making in this team.
