I watched the first 5 or so in a marathon one cold weekend, and then watched the ramaining 8 as they aired each week. By far one of the most enjoyable 1st seasons of a show I have caught in a while. I looked forward to each airing and watched live (rather than DVRed). Something I haven't done for a show since BSG and The Wire. The first, and maybe 2nd episode is iffy as they introduce the characters and situations. But after you get to know the back stories and motivations, there is some seriously good acting and writing. It also helped that they toned down the blood and nudity some. You see the show is very graphic novelesque like the 300. A little too much in the first two episodes. But it gets much better. I thought you guys would be aware of this show, as it stars a number of NZ and Aussie actors, and is filmed in New Zealand. Possibly the most enjoyable show I have seen in the last year or so.

One of my mates is an extra on it - I intend to watch it just to laugh at him, but good to know it's a decent show.

Episode 3 of Pacific last night, hanging out in Melbourne, getting on the piss and pulling Aussie birds. Sure, it is part of the story, but really took up time in my war program. 
 
Seeing the old guys remembering their time in Melbourne with big grins on their face was actually pretty funny.

last nights episode of Lost was quite good, while still a long way form any decent answers, it kinda answered a few questions regarding this alternate world (not parallell) 
 
NOw a fair number of the Survivors and others are starting to cross paths, and a few things starting to tie in together (for a change) 
 
Although still a number of characters that seem to have fallen away and either dont fit the puzzle or will re-appear to complete it (hopefully) at the end. 
 
Was odd seeing Charlie & Penny on Lost, when they were both on Flash Forward the hour prior too.

I am making my way through Curb Your Enthusiasm. Up to season 3 and it just gets funnier even though its not the first time seeing it.

Think I'm an episode or two ahead and it's getting pretty edgy but seems to be heading off in every direction possible. Not looking good....

Oh, I think I am - I just enjoy being confused sometimes. I'm comparing it with the first episode and what it's like now, and it's a completely different show.

Dunno if I'd say I enjoy being confused, more that it worries me the confusion will not end when the show does... 
 
I have no doubt I will be disappointed how they tie this all up!

I'm not liking this season of Lost much. I get the feeling that I'm going to be hugely dissapointed. On the Walt thing - I hope they wrap up why he was so 'special' but I'm not holding my breath. They went back to when the plane originally landed and the kid that plays him has grown a lot.

I'm currently watching the World at War miniseries from the 1970s. It's a great series narrated by Olivier. The other great WW2 doco series I've seen was at Uni and I thought it was called Bood on the Stone. It was basically the story of WW2 from the USSRs point of view. I can't track it down on the web. Anyone else have any idea of what it's called? 
 
Edit: It was called Blood Upon the Snow and it must have been pretty much new when I saw it as it came out 1997 (I always thought it was an old doco). The English version was narrated by Nigel Hawthorne.

Breaking Bad season 3 had started off a bit slow (probably by necessity as it dealt with the fall out from the end of season 2), but has been building and is now delivering. Great episode this week.

I thought it started off great. its a drama so it has a slow parts to it, but there are going to be some great twists this series, it is probably my favourite thing on telly at the moment. I am travelling to NZ in June so I am waiting to get all episodes so I can watch it in one hit.

I actually think this latest series of Lost could have been a stand alone one! 
 
Most of what I have seen if it were it's own series is quite good, but in the greater scheme of things, it sucks big ones as we know we are gonna be left majorly disappointed with whatever the conclusion is (assuming we even get one) 
 
The Michael appearance pretty much a non-issue, am guessing in the alternate world him, Walt and the dog never got on the plane. 
 
Interesting Desmond seems to all of a sudden be integral to alot of goings on, even though he must have been, given he was on the island before them all anyway

finished S3 of Deadwood, not as good as the 1st 2 and finished like there was to be another series, but it got canned...disappointing end really.
