Jack Barrett might be used again for a few weeks before the U20s leave, but you wouldn't want to overwork him.

We're at the bottom of the table, with no realistic chance of making the 8.

I'd say burn a few Clubbies before we screw up our U20s.

With the severing of ties to pro Rugby things are about to get very interesting for the community Rugby balance sheet.

I wonder if Halangahu could be the next head coach?

                      But alignment with RA...

On a serious note it's inevitable that someone had to carry the can for such a poor season. Just ridiculous in my eyes that he's effectively held to account for the oddest injury impact.

How do you think it will effect the Subbies mate, and how have ties been cut in NSW.
I always used to wonder in Qld if the subbies wouldn't of been better off without having to have much to do with Prem club admin etc.

With the professional cash segregated, the funding model of community rugby suddenly gets more exposure in terms of risk.

As a Board, NSW Suburban Rugby has repeatedly requested what we get for our $1000-per-team "Rugby Australia Participation Fee" and the answer is not satisfactory on each occasion.

QLD (Brisbane) Suburban is a shadow of its former self. I understand it is now limited to a single grade, Friday night comp playing against Premier Club 5th/6th Grades. Hardly surprising as Premier up there is big and fairly well run.

Sydney Premier is far more inequitable across the board, and continues to cling to the dream of 4 Grades + 3 Colts (U20). Not sustainable and I've even had a Chair of one Premier club agree with me on that.

At 130 teams across the board, I don't think $130k is going far...

Plus that money is channeled via NSW Rugby so I doubt whether it finds its way to Moore Park!

How do you think it will effect the Subbies mate, and how have ties been cut in NSW.

                                      Money, mostly.

I used to get infuriated with that particapation fee when I was tied up with club in Brisbane (can't remember how much it was for seniors then), but I know we were paying $200 a team for even juniors which absolutely disgusted me. Mind you it was opposite to what I had been used to from admin in NZ , so couldn't get my head around it.

Doorn said the recruitment process to find a new coach started as soon as the board made the decision.

He didn’t want to name coaching options but said he hadn’t heard from former Waratahs and Wallabies coach Michael Cheika, who led the team to the Super title in 2014.

Current NSW assistant and Australia A coach Jason Gilmore could be in the mix along with Fiji World Cup mentor Simon Raiwalui and former Waratahs centre Nathan Grey, who is the Australia U20 coach.
