Simon Parker, Laghlan McWhannell and Gideon Wrampling make up a trio of incredibly talented but incredibly unfortunate Waikato/Chiefs players (though Parker now with Northland and McWhannell with the Blues).

Chiefs prop Reuben O’Neill has been suspended for three weeks after being found guilty of “physical abuse” by the Sanzaar judicial committee.

The swinging arm on Fa'amausili in a clean-out. Ahio will get more game time in these weeks.

From a Stuff article by Aaron Goile (paywalled):

    • The coaches want Xavier Roe to get 80 mins for his club.
    • Ollie Norris has delayed concussion from the head clash in the MP game.
    • Samipeni Finau should be available next game.
    • Josh Lord has had surgery on his knee and could be back to fitness for the England series.

Pretty much confirmed that the Chiefs will host the Reds in a quarter final unless the Force make a miraculous comeback in the game on atm.

I don't know, but I never take too much notice of the fan's choice as it is a popularity contest. The players and coaches choice means more.

I imagine that @Duluth could provide some stats, but my feeling is that Vaa'ii is a bit of a suitcase type player.

About Samisoni Taukei’aho, and how he has deliberately paced himself during SR.

    Suitcase?

Historical fern term to describe Reuben Thorne.

I know he is in the top ten for turnovers won which is surprising. The best tight forward.

I've just been watching the Aotearoa Rugby Pod. Did Justin Harrison drop a hint that the Jahrome Brown will be joining the Chiefs next year? I would be happy to have been back in the Waikato squad too.

@Bovidae I thought I heard that as well, but I could not rewind to check due to my Skybox hard drive being fried! (waiting on a replacement).

In the SMH a couple of days ago:

Still on the Brumbies, the losses of Tamati Tua (Exeter) and Jahrome Brown (back to New Zealand with the Chiefs) will be felt next year.

So a likely replacement for Florence. He really didn't get that many opportunities. Welcome home!
