Yellow card for a missed intercept but not for a dangerous tackle with (possible) head contact is peak rugby.

You do go on a bit.
If it wasn't head contact the argument how it had to be a YC is diminished. I agree that it ought to have been a card but it was not as straightforward as you are suggesting.

Think they've only got one or two left?

@Damo so.. you agree?
I don't agree with keeping on going on and on about a marginal call an hour ago that could have gone either way.

Then what the hell are you doing on the Fern?

@Damo I was comparing it to the call just made to illustrate the inconsistent nature of the laws of rugby and to highlight how absurd the intercept rule is.

I don't think it's absurd at all. He stuck a hand out when he was in a compromised poor position with an overlap. Clear YC. No dramas.

This yellow card protocol is pants.
At least it's very straightforward, which isn't the case for pretty much any of the other laws/protocols.

A penalty would have been entirely adequate there. Make it less codified and let experienced refs interpret based on feel for game.

Just start dropping a player every 5 minutes

@NTA haha imagine if the Chiefs just took five players off with 5 to go
-
Who is the backline guru at the Chiefs? I have been really impressed with their angles, passing and drawing this season.

Think you need a minimum of 11 for a game unless yellow cards
