I would think that Ekuasi would be an option, wasn't he at the Rebels as a loan type agreement before they folded anyway?

@African-Monkey Ekuasi signed a 2 year deal last year 2024-25 with Rebels so I presume he either asks for a release or goes to another Aus franchise. Tahs could use him as they are losing Hanigan and Swinton

Unsure on Wallace Sititi contract with chiefs maybe an option
Sititi is signed for 2025. I'm sure the Chiefs won't be letting him go.

Haha imagine that!

Well Cotter might make him a good player, but he’s too lazy for the Blues. We don’t need failed Test players, would be a better fit for the Crusaders, he could compete with Grace for who makes the least tackles.

Isn't 'failed Test player' the Blues modus operandum..?

@Kirwan I was more looking forward to the reaction of the Blues fans on here, not that it's happening of course.
Cotter would at least get him using his size for the first time in his career if he ever got his hands on him.

A 100% fit Suafoa could snag that 6 jersey next year
Twice the player of Frizell, 10x the character

Akira is leaving roughly the same time in his career Zinny was set to leave before a coach who didn't like him finally saw sense. But why stay and try and fight with a forward coach like Ryan in charge, who shepherded the flake Frizell through last year?
Samoa could be the big beneficiaries of this move.
-
Loose forward is always an area of riches for the ABs, so there is always going to be losers of quality depending on the selectors preference. I don't think that he has had 'the word', all the interviews of those on the fringes mention how little they get back from the ABs coaches. Obviously this could have changed with the new regime. But anyway, he looks to be prioritizing money and his family, good on him - I did the same with a young kid - without the money haha

Watch the video, he’s clearly pretty upset. Seems pretty clear he’s had the Sam Cane style tap.

It’s two isn’t it, three years since his last AB game and AB XV doesn’t count.
