I feel slightly better about our loss to them, now.

When I saw that result flash up, I thought itwould have been the Afghan spinners that did the damage, but seems it's the medium-fast guys!

Puts some doubt into my expectation that Oz and India were cruising inevitably to another final.

India now has a chance to send them home early. I'd suggest they take it!

Aus World Cup hopes looking shaky now.

At some point you just get tired of winning cricket trophies, and take your eye off the ball. It happens.

Finally a big game I want to follow in this World Cup.

But it’s on at 2:30am.. and it’ll probably rain

@Duluth yeah I was annoyed at that timing. If it rains and Afghanistan beat the Bangles then the Aussies are going home. That'd be some tournament for the Afghans.

Australia need 40 runs from 14 balls against India or they are in risk of going out!

Pat Cummins with a six. 6 more of those will see Aussie home.

Big, big, big win for India.

And a huge, huge, huge defeat for Australia. They were well beaten.

India will top the group and will play England in the Semi Final.

If Afghanistan beat Bangladesh they go through or if there is rain. Afghanistan might even go through with a very narrow defeat. A big Bangladesh win might see them in second place.

Will definitely have that game playing in the background today with a bit of history on the line. Knocking the Aussies out to make your first SF is the stuff of fairy tales.

    Afghans have posted just 115.

It's been raining since and the outfield is wet. Cricinfo say if it's a 15-over game Bangladesh will have to get 94 in 7.2 overs to make it to the semis.

If they get back on, they'll surely go for it and I suspect this isn't an easy pitch, so wicket might tumble.

No overs lost so far - Bangladesh need to chase this down in no more than 12.1 - 12.5 overs of they're to qualify - 12.5 requires hitting a six off the last ball.

If Bangladesh win, but in more than 12.5 over Oz go through.

Bangladeshis give up trying to qualify for themselves and start playing for Oz.

Doesn't work for them though and they lose a couple of wickets trying to nurdle home.

81/7 now - the rain is coming again, as an Afghani fakes a pulled hamstring to slow the game down with his team ahead on D-L.

The result has been penduluming backwards and forwards on D-L.

The rain comes the ball after the Afghans pick up the 9th wicket.

Bangladesh ned 9 off 8 with one wicket standing - Litton Das still there on 54 but not on strike.

They come back and get Rahman lbw first ball. Plumb as - and the Afghans go sprinting around the field without waiting for the review.

Afghanistan into the semis and send the Australians homeward, tae think again! 🙂

@NTA You guys must have been in the semis and out of the semis about 26 times in that game - changing every ball!

Afganistan to play South Africa in the semis.

Go the Afghans - don't want those Jaapies having any more Cups!

(At present I believe we're equal with them if you add cricket and rugby together!).
