No Aaron Smith, Mo’unga, Retallick, Whitelock, Sam Cane, that’s about 540 test matches of experience goneski. We got this Razor…

Oh sure just pretend Frizzel doesn't exist

    And Coles...

Thank heavens you caught yourself. Far too early in Razor’s journey to violate the Dark Side’s sacred “No Excuses” mantra. the PR spreadsheet mandates at least four years of shedsweeping social media posts before distributing wewouldntvelostbut.ppt

Frizzel-like a suitcase but a little bit more violent.
Coles-like a supermarket but a little bit more dirty.

Genuinely looking forward to this one. This game is right up there at an interest level comparable to the 2023 WC.
Razor and co have nowhere to hide, this is it.
If we lose, this place will erupt into flame, currently smouldering at the moment. So many cross winds.
            Huge.

A loss in the 1st Test would be an embarrassment after all the hype, that's for sure. Personally wouldn't read too much into it, but the memes posted will be something to see...

Especially under the roof in Dunners. Which should give ideal conditions for us.

If we're gonna lose it's probbly going to be the 1st Test. Personally, I think the RC & EOYT are more important.

                      @Victor-Meldrew

Yes, the 1st test is when we will be vulnerable. We have really made it hard for ourselves given the short turnaround between the super final and the 1st test.

Not making excuses for Razor, this is the type of challenge he should thrive on.

This series is more important than the eoyt imo. We only have to see what the fallout was like after losing to Ireland in NZ to get a sense of what it will be like. We don’t need a developing crisis for a new mgmt team 2 tests into their reign

So as the dust settles on the first ABs squad of the year, who is in the 23 to play the first test against England. I think Razor will select the following:

                        1. De Groot
                        2. Taylor
                        3. Lomax

                        9. Christie
                        10. McKenzie
                        11. Clarke
                        12. Barrett (VC)
                        13. Ioane
                        14. Reece
                        15. Barrett

Pending injury in camp, I'd say you're on the money.

It will be interesting to see what differences they attempt to instil from the Fozzie era.

                        Desire hopefully.

There were times under Foster when they didn't seem to care that much. Then when it counted at the RWC they showed up mentally. I'm hoping Razor can get that passion out of them for every match like he seemed to with the 'saders for 7 years in a row.

We (NZ) do seem to have an aversion to warm up games don't we? The Black Caps think they are not needed, despite their performances, and I've noticed the days of the ABs playing the Island nations to start the season seem to be over as well. Why would we do that to ourselves?

It will be interesting to see what differences they attempt to instil from the Fozzie era.

Quite a few according to Leon.

Seems quite challenging to transition to a new defensive system. You only need a bit of confusion in what someone is supposed to be doing and the whole thing falls apart.

I'd just like us to show patience with the ball in hand getting rid of all the cute 25/75 passes and 20/80 chip kicks. Show some actual depth of clearance on our exits and improved disclipline on defence.

Though with BB being an intergal part of the team I'm not sure if point 1 or 2 can happen 😞

yeah, less of the do something risky if we dont score after 3-4 phase...have some faith we can keep the ball for long periods

Perhaps three playmakers to really confuse the opposition. Also a flat backline so no one knows who is getting the ball.

DMac has more distance in his kicks than Mo'unga and BB. They could use JB more for their exits.

yeah, i thought when JB first came on the scene having a big boot was one of his selling points but dont think we see it as much as i would have liked/thought we would
