Hope we get a better ref for the final. This guy wasn’t that accurate without favouring either of the sides. A classic example was stones clearly heading it out and he called goal kick rather than corner. That sort of thing.

Just with that move for the goal, Watkins showed what England have been missing. Someone who runs, who shows for the ball and is a threat - a real striker's goal when England spent most of the second half not looking like they wanted to score.

It was an interesting game - great first half but mainly because the Dutch got their formation wrong and England always had a man over at the edge of the box. Bellingham, Foden, Saka were pulling the strings and it looked like England had to get a 2nd. Then Koeman took off Malen and put on an extra midfielder and suddenly the space wasn't there. Second half became more cagey and without looking particularly dangerous, the Dutch were in the ascendancy and creating set pieces. Thought Southgate left it too late with his subs but as against Slovakia, he has the midas touch.
England have a chance in the final, Spain can be put under pressure in the same way as any other team. The issue will be getting hold of the ball though and England might need to set up more defensively to avoid being sliced up by Spain. So Spain slight favourites but hopefully it is a good final.

If England can send it to penalties then they don’t have to rely on team play only their individual abilities, which there is a lot of depth.
