Deadpool & Wolverine
Fuckin' brilliant. So many laughs, cameo appearances, in-jokes, dialogue directed at Fox and Disney, and breaking the fourth wall moments.
Marvel Jesus. Ha!Most disappointing spoiler ever!

“Racism is not dead, but it is on life support – kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as ‘racists’ ” ~ Thomas Sowell
Ooooooooooohhhhhh
BORAcisT
Can't wait to see the fallout from this

i had the misfortune of watching "American Underdog - The Kurt Warner Story" last night.
god it's lucky i had a couple of wines, what a boring load of shit. You can tell that Kurt and his wife had a fair say in teh writing. It was actually far less preachy than i was expecting given Kurt's previous utterances, and it being produced by a Christian movie company.
This dude actually has an interesting story to tell. But this movie ain't it. According to this film, Kurt got picked because heart, and it was his time. Kurt, it could also have been all the fucking football you played, all over the place.
Also, can you tell me why you didn't have any money at all if you went to college for 5 years? is it because you are a selfish asshole?
The NFL is a sport that makes fucking great movies. This is not one of them. Avoid at all costs.

After watching Axel F I decided to watch the three original films. After the freshness of the first film, the second was okay but followed the same formula as the first. BHC3 was an abomination and it's no wonder it took them 30 odd years before anyone would let Eddie Murphy make a fourth. I did spot a cameo by George Lucas though, which did nothing to salvage the wreck

I’m not sure why they thought it would be a good idea to set the whole thing in a theme park.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
People who don't like this movie don't like fun. Is it "The Guns of Navaronne"? No. It is not that serious. Is it fun and at times funny? yes. Do lots of Nazis get killed in amusing and incredibly violent ways? Oh so much yes. Is Eiza Gonzalez incredibly smoking hot? oh fuck so much yes.
It's a little thin, but that gives it a sharp run time. Not every movie needs to be 2.5 hours long and darkly toned. It's an action comedy set in WWII, enjoy it for what it is.

The Seppos seem to have hated this movie which stopped it getting a cinema release in the rest of the world.
I read up about the actual people and I can see why they didn't go further into what happened to them in the end overviews. Essentially the majority of them were killed in later actions during the war, although Gonzalez's character became an actress. -
Horizon - An American Saga
Despite being 3 hours long, I enjoyed this movie.
Decent story, and moves along at a decent pace.
Read that chapter 2 is already made, but they decided to delay release to give this one time at the cinema.
3.5 fuck living in those conditions out of 5 it'd be great living in those simpler times

The trailer looked good. Guy Ritchie's version of Inglourious Bastards?

it is far less self indulgent

No notes. Would go see again in 20 minutes when the next session starts.
16 LFGs out of 5 Fourth Wall Breaks
Although I had a good time watching, I do have some reservations about it.
I think there were a bunch of good scenes that didn't necessarily add up to a good film and instead of rewatching the film in the future I'm sure everyone would prefer to just watch a bunch of clips. It felt a bit like a Scary Movie-style film, just parodying Marvel films instead of horrors. There was too many 'wink winks' to the audience for my liking, it was a bit too gratuitous, and the countless cameos mixed with the news of RDJ playing Doom in the future doesn't fill me with massive hopes for Secret Wars, because I'm worried they'll do the same thing (i.e. throw a bunch of cameos in without them serving any real purpose beyond a bit of humour). But, in saying all that, it was fun. I just thought it was a bit cheap.

Sign me up for that. IB is one of QTs best and will always hold a special place in my heart as my son’s introduction to Tarantino.
I thought Nazis getting beaten to death with bats was more appropriate than ears getting cut off and dungeon rapes with gimps guarding the door. Baby steps.

@NTA Till now I haven't heard anyone have a positive word about it. The best I'd heard was very meh
Conversely, until now I've only heard positive things about it although I have heard that the critics have been all over the show.
I'll see it Wednesday and report back.
Watched Uproar this weekend:
Had Ricky Baker from Hunt and Boy from Boy in it. Was about a kid trying to fit in against the backdrop of the 1981 Springbok tour.
Was amiable enough, a few chuckles, had one scene that annoyed me.
Better than the Convert of the recent NZ films I've seen.
