Do these uniforms serve any special purpose? Not sure how motorcycle leathers help with target shooting

Certainly the Turk missed the memo.

I wonder if the structure of the clothing helps minimise movement.

Traditional, more than anything. Leather shooting jackets have been around for years. However you can see how they cleverly use the trousers as a stiff platform for elbow. So yeah it helps minimise movement
