He was the 2023 junior world champ and Rooth is the first Norwegian to medal in the decathlon for 104 years

Ah so that was him! Good on him staying in to support his young teammate, knowing he was basically out of the running. Warner of Canada was the reigning Olympic champion and I believe he pulled the pin once he got blanked in the pole vault
