i watched half or 2/3 of the worst movie i have seen in fucking years on Saturday.
The Hitman
Current guy Glen Powell, and some really hot girl.
I actually don't know what this movie was supposed to be. If it's a comedy, it is not funny. If it is a romantic movie, it's not romantic. It ends up being absolutely nothing.
I don't know what it is supposed to be about, but what it really is about is, people will ignore absolutely every other thing about prospective partner if they are really really hot. I'm spoiling this because you should absolutely not watch this. She thinks he's a contract killer, but fucks him anyway because he looks like Glen Powell. He knows she is the type of person to hire someone to kill her husband, and he fucks her anyway, because she is smoking hot.
There are no tits, just side boob.
I turned it off bored out of my brain. I read the plot synopsis just see if it went anywhere. Where it went is more ridiculous than the bit i watched. Avoid this steaming pile of shit at all costs.

The potential future Mrs MN5 picked it for us and the boy to watch……”bonding” if you will. It looked like something we’d all enjoy from the shorts.
He fucked off into his room after half an hour, I fell asleep.
She apologised for picking a shite movie.
Kind of “light hearted” and you’re right, not one funny moment. Based on a true story apparently.
….and yes, the woman is insanely hot.

same as us! shorts looked good. a movie the family can watch. Mrs Mariner asleep early, youngest fucked off to play playstation. Eldest and i battled on before looking at each other and saying "god this is so fucking bad" at nearly the same time.

its one of the best movies made in the last couple of years.
Just everything about it is perfect. The right amount of nostalgia, the action scenes were basically real aircraft with the actors inside subjected to the stunts and having to act along the way. Minimal CGI was used.
The music is perfect too and it was perfectly cast. -

The music is perfect too and it was perfectly cast.The only thing that would have topped it was to have peak Jennifer Connelly norks. Don't get me wrong I still would hit that for sure. But in her younger years she was very well endowed

i had the misfortune of watching "American Underdog - The Kurt Warner Story" last night.
god it's lucky i had a couple of wines, what a boring load of shit. You can tell that Kurt and his wife had a fair say in teh writing. It was actually far less preachy than i was expecting given Kurt's previous utterances, and it being produced by a Christian movie company.
This dude actually has an interesting story to tell. But this movie ain't it. According to this film, Kurt got picked because heart, and it was his time. Kurt, it could also have been all the fucking football you played, all over the place.
Also, can you tell me why you didn't have any money at all if you went to college for 5 years? is it because you are a selfish asshole?
The NFL is a sport that makes fucking great movies. This is not one of them. Avoid at all costs.

Pretty much agree with everything you say. Gave it a pass mark, but barely.
Enjoyed it in a cheesy kind of way.
I didn't dig Zachary Levi as Warner. Just has this look on his face the whole time like he's about to crack some kind of comic routine, so it was hard to take him seriously.

The Iron Claw
Definitely keen to see this one as during lockdown I spent hour upon hour googling what became of 80s wrestlers and the tragedies that befell so many of their lives, none more so than this family.
Old Man Fritz was a grumpy old arse who lived vicariously through his sons but to lose five out of six of them ( only four out of five in the movie, they toned it down slightly ) would have been heartbreaking.
They probably should have cast much bigger lunkheads as the wrestlers ( especially the midget who played Kerry ) but Zac Efron was in terrific shape and looked great in the wrestling scenes. ( again, he looks absolutely nothing like Kevin Von Erich but oh well )
Decent solid watch

Deadpool and Wolverine. Enjoyed it immensely. Highly entertained and laughed out loud several times. Not sure you can really call this Marvel because no other Marvel film could get away with it.
It was funny driving home from the film with my son we were both a bit puzzled about what we had just watched. It really was completely all over the place. Whatever. Did the job. Really good chemistry between the 2 leads and some outstanding cameos.
