@ACT-Crusader the funny thing about Savea's 2023 form was he played fucking TIGHT. Think back to those RWC play-offs. He was all graft. Carried in the tight, actually hit rucks. Was far narrower than at any other time under those coaches. He was like a different player. Less YouTube shit, just hard footy.
@mariner4life yep and I loved it. He was a colossus in the final 3 matches because he was in those tight exchanges that really matter in knock out footy. Maybe we need Cane to get red carded again for him to be that player…..
Looking forward to when the team gets announced and the ensuing gasps!

@JK how long do you persist with an injury prone player like Blackadder? If he has two more injuries in the space of year I’d be tempted to invest in someone else. I love his intensity in principle but now what are our 6 options. I’d rather have someone like Akira.

the big turnaround in Foster's ABs was finally putting BB out to pasture as a 10. Everything turned on that one selection.

are there many players in this squad that are playing better than they did in super rugby? should be better coaches, better players around them so they should get better...feels like "everyone" was playing above themselves at super level...and now getting found out

@mariner4life I thought the team also started to improve when Jordie moved out of the 15. Too slow to be a major threat into the backline. Decent defensively though.

@nostrildamus I notice South Africa hire former ref Jaco Piper. I still think in a 18 months we will be top 2, if not the best team. I think Ireland will fade and I just doubt that South Africa will be able to change their DNA in that time. Yes they might score a counter attacking try here and there but when the pressure goes on, they revert to type.

Probably only Crusaders, especially Blackadder, Taylor and Barrett.

@KiwiMurph and lets not forget...loads of BB's highlight reel he's wearing 22...not 10 or even 15...always has been excellent at raising the tempo against a tiring opposition
