In fairness, it sounds like the hosting fee was substantial (reading between the lines) ... but this is a private cricket ground. It got dropped by teh BCCI for tournament games.
It's been a debacle; playing in monsoon season and then not coping with a bit of rain.

I dont know why anyone is complaining if there are 3 days of play, that is long enough for us to be bowled out twice

From the WTC playing conditions, "An abandoned match will be treated as a draw. But if the match is abandoned because of an unfit pitch or outfield, the home team will be penalised, and points for a win will be awarded to the visiting side."

Yes, Afghanistan, Ireland and Zimbabwe are test playing nations but not part of the WTC.

Imagine going to some shithole in north India to play cricket and not even getting a game. It would be like us making a touring side play on the Chatham Islands in April then the game getting rained out.

This is just typical, NZ get scheduled to play a game during the back end of the monsoon season at a ground that's sketchy anyway. This would never happen to the likes of India, England or Australia. Just goes to show where NZ sit in the world of cricket really.
