Does anyone need any further evidence of huge, blatant Crusader bias now? A lot of posters on here assured us that Razor was above that.

A wasted opportunity to develop his squad in a Test which is in reality a soft game. Instead he's gone for old hands who likely won't be around in 12-18 months. We could end up winning and learning nothing.

    Just fucking awful.

That leaked backline fits the MO of how this regime likes to select

A real missed opportunity to give Hotham, Proctor and Plummer a run.

As a 10 Beauden has been on the slide for 5 years or so but it doesn't seem to make any difference because he's locked in as the next option at 10. Except when he's unwell and then they give the other option 3 minutes.

Does Razor realise Proctor is in the squad?

Ok if that is the confirmed list then "disappointed" isn't even strong enough.

It would appear Razor is building his version of Cantablacks. I really thought, after having time away from the Saders, that he would be above that. But I was wrong. That leaked side shows a lack of courage in selection IMHO

Well folks, the much anticipated post is here. You can all stop with the backline predictions and start chatting about this weekends backline that you’ll see below. I was unable to get the forward pack but have heard that Tuipolotu is a real chance to be in the 23 this week.

Again, and as I usually say, a very reliable source who hasn’t led me astray yet. If it’s wrong I’ll own it.

If there are any late week updates in regards to the team, I’ll post that in this thread.

Backline for this weekend as follows.

            1. T.Perenara
            2. B.Barrett
            3. C.Clarke
            4. A. Lienart-Brown
            5. R.Ioane
            6. S.Reece
            7. W.Jordan

            Bench
            21. C.Ratima
            22. D.Mckenzie
            23. D.Havili

Good work my man, always a reliable source of information.

So the poin of having McKenzie and Havili on the bench is.......

Why not Proctor? Will we see Proctor dropped for McLeod/Ennor for the EOYT?

The next RWC will be here before we know it, and every game is a precious chance to search for the best team we can make. Rassie gets it. Razor seems more interested in marking time before getting the red and black band back together instead of seriously running the rule over some of the emerging guys

this is a rare opportunity to play against moderate opposition and get minutes into players. We're squandering it with TJP BB etc. Should be a bunch of tyro's out there this weekend, particularly on the bench.

Remember, the schedule for the rest of the year is
                      Japan
                      England
                      Ireland
                      France
                      Italy

3 weekends aginst top tier opposition is going to be brutal. Brutal.

He appears to be waiting for Richie, Lester, and anyone else he can coax back. When the focus should be on the younger prospects that are actually in his squad. In the meantime he's content to play old stagers past their best at the expense of younger emerging players who actually have a chance to be significant parts of the team over the next few years. Frustrating

No. ABs don't give fucking last hurrahs and freebies. Cane and TJ playing 'cos it is the end' sucks the great big cock of death, if that is the reason they are playing. That is a firing offence IMO

No. ABs don't give fucking last hurrahs and freebies. Cane and TJ playing 'cos it is the end' sucks the great big cock of death, if that is the reason they are playing. That is a firing offence IMO

I genuinely think Cane's added some value this season but we should be taking a punt on younger players now.

That's a hilarious backline, thanks for the sauce.

Only Clarke is unquestioned, every other player has been criticised on the Fern. And to put the cherry on top, he selects a shit Crusader on the bench. When does Super Rugby start? I miss Vern.

It's a good back line, except for 9 and 10. Those guys aren't that important eh... Seriously, what the fuck does this selection accomplish?
Ratima was excellent last week, and showing clear improvement the more he played. TJ is leaving. You achieve fucking nothing selecting him unless Ratima is injured out of the 23.
Beauden Barrett has never been a good 10, and is worse right now than he's ever been before. If everything had been going swimmingly then I could understand giving him a run in a dead rubber, as he will need to play there if McKenzie goes down during a game. But everything certainly has not been going swimmingly, and McKenzie needs to keep playing and we need to keep working on the game plan and developing the combinations.
It's stupid shit. The only upside really for me is that the last 20 will be an interesting watch - though how that goes depends more on the forwards than the 9 & 10.

Well folks, the much anticipated post is here. You can all stop with the backline predictions and start chatting about this weekends backline that you’ll see below. My concern is they'll tear the Wallabies a new arsehole and then everyone thinks that halves pairing is the one for the NH tour.
