To me there was very little difference to a player running forward and jumping high with their legs and feet extended forward when contesting a high kick. That move was effectively the same sort of thing so if it is not being ruled illegal or dangerous in one then it cannot possibly be ruled dangerous in the other.

Really disappointed about the final result, a case of "how the hell did they win that" if ever there was one.

That was enjoyable, reasonable standard of rugby and a good tight finish. Pressure was on little Paris Jackson Peace Flower Bachop, great moment for him, especially after a ropey game. Not Auckland will be gutted.

Gutted yes.
Managed to watch at work. Will save my anger for later.
I haven't watched much under these new rules but breakdown penalties seem more of a lottery than ever. Players are stopping playing because of the risk and have no idea when in the right or wrong.
Anyway, after it looking like Welly would dominate, CM did well to get back into the match and will rue the missed opportunity off the Francis break.
I think the decision to go to touch was the right one, just didn't quite execute at the end.
