In 1993 giallo master Sergio Martino made a Twin Peaks knock-off for Italian TV. It completely copied the music and sound design, and even had an off brand Ray Wise actor. Chock full of absolute babes, including Edwige Fenech. Not bad so far:

    Delitti Privati (Private Crimes)

Finally got around to watching Shogun (4 eps in), does anyone else feel that the actor playing Blackthorne is terrible? I've seen the actor in other stuff and he's been fine but he just doesn't suit the role to me.

That would be consistent with the 1980s mini series, then. Where I found the Hollywood heavyweight Richqrd Chamberlain hard to believe. Mis-cast.

I watched the 1980s miniseries sometime in the last decade.

Funnily enough I was comparing him with Chamberlain in my head as the comparison. Despite being a miscast yank he was much better than the new guy. Hell, even Clive Plank Owen would have been a better option.

I see they've already greenlit two new seasons.

Considering the actual watchable lead of the show is no longer in it I'm not that interested, will need to get awesome reviews for me to continue watching.

Chamberlain was miscast in everything since Dr Kildare. Poor actor and by all accounts something of a knob. Spike Milliganโ€™s quote sums it up:-

RC: Spike, why do so many people seem to take an instant dislike to me?

    SM: Saves time.

You've both piqued my interest and set an unreasonable standard of comparison for when I do finally watch it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Heck of a salary to pay for a guy who doesn't even last half the first episode. Have to assume there's backstory coming?

    Something between that and SOA.

Oh sweet, that has helped lower my expectations - I love SOA (I've actually been doing a partial rewatch) but one season aside it's not peak TV, more like a soap opera for males. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Finished Trainwreck: Woodstock '99

    Holy shit, trainwreck alright!

Some of the footage is amazing, probably none moreso than the ones showing Korn playing 'blind' but the event as a whole, wow.

Seems it doesnt take much for people to turn back to feral almost primitive, coulnt find much, but did any of the organisers not get sued or spend time in prison?

    Our House

4 ep thriller about a chick, estranged from her husband arrives home to find it has been sold and the new people moving in.

Not up on how homes can be sold in the UK, but felt a few holes in what happened, but otherwise a decent watch, although thought the ending was weak, I had thought it would go another way, while probably more obvious, still probably better?

This was good, what a clusterfuck. I can't believe the attitude of the organisers, can't believe they still to this day think they did nothing wrong.

Didn't realise Korn were so huge back in the day.

So I'm 5 eps in and finding it pretty decent. Didn't get off to a good start though, opening credits and I see created by Taylor Sheridan, if I hadn't recently been watching and enjoying Tulsa King I would have stopped there as I don't like most of his shit. Then the first episode was fairly average and along with the Coach from FNL storyline was so obvious.

But I kept going and am enjoying it but it's way, way, way more SOA than The Wire.

@Nepia I guess I don't give a shit about who or what Sheridan is and just enjoy the watch.

Yeah my spoiler was about coach, bizarre choice for that role!

    The Gentlemen is good fun.

In saying that each episode gets more far fetched and ridiculous than the last.

I don't care about who or what he is - just that I don't like a lot of his other stuff.

I think it was one of those deliberate ploys, get a fairly big name in to kill him off early - Seagal in Executive Decision, to shock everyone, excepted it was obvious from the first scene it was going to happen.

Watched this a year or two back.

Biggest takeaway was how lavish some ostensibly dinky looking London homes can be.
