Been watching Heem for a few years. He's really solid - has come back bloody good. Lack of pace only exposed occasionally, and sometimes peels off runs that make you sit up.

He probably shouldn't be in the 23 that often either. Great cover for when there are injuries

@george33 I do like Thompson so am ok with him staying. He could play more blindside if Rush is replaced by Christie.

Bit of depth lost at wing with Banks and Tangitau at other franchises
I'll be annoyed if Lam is forced to play wing as he's the best 12 in the squad
Who else covers wing? Spencer? Heem prob too slow for wing these days. Tito-Harris perhaps? That blonde chap from Northland looked useful

@KiwiMurph Nathan Salmon...think he will be training with Blues in an apprentice-type role.

@george33 I missed him off my 'not yet announced' list. Surely they want him, he performed well when chosen last season. I think he is Vern's type of forward.
