Wolfs on Apple+
The George Clooney and Brad Pitt collaboration. What a romp, just bloody good entertainment watching two actors who clearly love what they do, do what they do best. Wife and I really enjoyed it on Sunday evening enjoying a bottle of wine.
Two "cleaners" called into the same job and things just go from there.
Tit watch zero

Mrs M decided she needed cheering up with a musical. Her choice, so ended up watching Wonka (2023).... Fark me, you don't half have do some shit in the name of love, don't you?

A Dark Song.
I love British occult and folk horror. Not really sure how to rate this one.
I enjoyed it, but it did have some dull periods. The ending was a bit video game, but at least it wasn't a cop-out.
Dark, windy & pissing down with rain in Cornwall so just the atmos for a bit of gothic so gave this a try.
A bit disjointed but a gnat's todger from being really great and an enjoyable watch. Agree on the ending which seemed tacked-on.

@Victor-Meldrew Definitely could have been better with a bit more imagination or something. Very heavy handed at the end.

Hmm, I predict that Pitt will be quite annoying (not to mention mediocre) in his role. He's no Lee Marvin.
Clicked on the start of this thread by accident, fair to say no post has aged as poorly as this, Brad was AWESOME !

If this gets a cinema release I'm going
One of the most underrated films of my lifetime

The Predator
I'm now 40mins in to this movie and it's the stupidest movie I can recall watching this year. And possibly last year. Laughably bad script, with woeful casting.
I mean Jake Busey as someone with a "PhD in Physical Sciences from Cornell University"?

Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
Worst war/action/spy/whatever movie I've seen
One wanna be inglorious bastards out of five wanna be kingmans
Wait. Are you suggesting for one moment that Guy Ritchie is a knock off Tarantino?

Alien Romulus.
Very decent overall. Some really nice bleakness in the lifestyles of the future, hopefully that doesn’t come true. Really nice touches/throwbacks to the first two movies in particular. The android character was well done and the creature at the end was pretty damn fucked up.
Possibly loses a few marks for retreading a bit TOO much at times, what I liked about Covenant is that it was on an actual planet as opposed to dark corridors of a ship….been there done that…..
3.75 obsolete androids out of 5 face huggers
Also……
do we really need yet ANOTHER heroic female who survives when no one else does ? That’s four of them in total nowSome nerds online complained about the Ash/Rook Android…..looked a tiny bit CGI at times but I thought the idea of another fucked up evil model was cool, ie we as viewers instantly knew not to trust that arsehole

@MN5 I watched it two nights ago and loved the beginning 20mins. The effects and acting were top notch but like you I felt it got formulaic.
Having said that it's still a bloody good way to spend a couple of hours and a worthy addition to the franchise.

Is that real? It doesn't look real with Hunnam above Bale in the credits.
I've heard about Mann making a prequel, but then wouldn't it have a different name than just Heat.
If true, would win a record for director remaking the same movie the most time I guess.
