Couple of decent or even edgy boundaries might change things. Momentum with the home town right now. Be good to take the crowd out of play

lol Latham away from home is so bad

Not really 6 test 100s and 12 50s away from home better than a lot of Nz Batsmen

2 of those in Zimbabwe and t also the neutral UAE,2, remaining in Pak and SL, for me Zim should not even count. As @African-Monkey says nothing in decent opposition countries

still better than others have done and played in the same countries toughest job in cricket opening the batting.
easy to bag the dude when you haven't walked in his shoes.

That's hit a crack and reared up to hit Conway on the gloves.

    Absolutely.

Facing the new ball, fuck all chances of not outs to boost the average…….

That’s why I admire Hayden, Cook and Sehwag as genuine modern greats for the records they have.

Gooch, Greenidge, Haynes etc the generation before.

    Yep 100%

Graeme Smith, Justin Langer and even fern favourite David Warner too.

Lathams record is pretty damn decent although there could be a few digs at him for being maybe a BIT of a home track bully.

Agreed but Wright faced all those horrible fast bowling greats of the 80s and 90s……not sure Lathams opponents have been as good overall ?

Anyway, he’s sitting in the shed, time for Conway to prove he’s a bloody good opener and see us home here !

Although he is one of NZs best in that position, I Don’t debate that by the way, I would hardly compare him to those guys. Those guys had results in most countries. Latham just doesn’t have that complete mental fortitude in my mind and goes missing on tours when we really need him.

Still better than me on my couch though

A very good point. I’d back Chris Martin to carve up with the bat at beach cricket better than I could too.

balance starts to shift as the ball ages a bit. It's going to lose its shine, and perhaps get some moisture in the outfield.

Weather the storm - mostly done!
    now start scoring runs.
