Blues would be bleeding wingers if it was Telea. They've already lost Tangitau and Banks

Telea and Ardie do have a strong relationship though.

@george33 that would be a massive surprise given MP already have 3 first fives signed
Jackson Garden Bachop , William Havilli ,Tongan first five Patrick Pellegrini
Would’nt surprise me if Ngani Laumape and Vaea Fifita are on MP’s list
Will have a real Canes feel about them.

Fifita has re-signed in Wales again I'm pretty sure.

Ngani Laumape would definitely make sense. Ardie spent a lot of time with him in Japan so would have had plenty of time to convince him of the move. Whether he wants to give up the money though is another question.

@george33 Yes i have through a contact at MP and he was the same person who told me Ardie was coming to Mp about a month before it was announced , but to be fair with Cameron Suafua and and the impressive Che Clark in the mix as well as Segner and Choat who can all play 6 if required , it would be hard to fit Frizzell in .
Not sure what Suafua’s status is in terms of next year for me he was a little off the pace in the Npc

@george33 Rob Rush missed the cut with the Blues, has been offered an injury cover contract with the Chiefs but the latest i have heard he wants have a run at the NZ 7s team , is currently training with the Northland 7s squad .
Not entirely sure of the thought process behind that thinking

@Steven-Harris Rob really never got the opportunity, not sure why , there have been few rumors, still the man is a great talent.

Would be classic if there was the same wires crossed last season when the rumour was out there that the Highlanders had signed a Tele’a.

Theres no news around Tanielu Tele’a re-signing with the Highlanders(yet), I sure hope it isn’t him…. Don’t think they’d make a post like that on social media for him though.

An article about Kyle Preston on Stuff today. If he has signed for the Crusaders he isn't letting on. Only "fingers crossed" for a SR contract.

@Bovidae he is certainly Super rugby quality. If he hasn't actually signed with the Saders I hope the Canes have signed him.
