@Nepia I guess I don't give a shit about who or what Sheridan is and just enjoy the watch.
Yeah my spoiler was about coach, bizarre choice for that role!
So this show got fucking stupid around episode 9.
Still enjoyed the season as a whole but unsure if I'll watch more.
Possibly one for the GOM thread, but it grates me when you bastards post something that means I have to scroll up 400 posts just to try and find the @bones post that you're referring to. Just mention the bloody serieseseseseses name man!!!
Dunces like me enjoy mayor of Kingstown, scholars like neps don't.
TBF, I said I enjoyed it.

@Catogrande said in TV Serieseseses:
You can’t hide it. You’re a scholar and now the whole Fern knows it. Soon the world will know.
I have no issues with being labelled a scholar.
Even us scholars can enjoy some stupidity on occasion.

Well if it’s me (quite likely) you’d have to explain. Oh and slowly please
Just rediscovering this.
No, you were right, it was me who got whooshed.I misread:, Bono’s daughter is HAF, so is the one who get murdered
as
Bono’s daughter is HAF, so is the one who gets murderedI think paranoia over the frequent grammatical standards of TSF posts (including my own) is getting to me..

Right, so... Mayor Of Kingstown
Not the same as Mare of Easttown
So - watched Season 1.
First things first...- first two episodes - Titwatch: awesome
- remainder of season: Titwatch: sparse
In the process of obtaining this... discovered there are already three seasons... ? How have I not known about this?
High hopes that subsequent seasons start with equal tit-watch-iness.
Overall... this is the logical peak of Taylor Sheridan. His previous shows have always been "A vs B, but then C shows up, so A and B team up against C, but then D shows up, so B teams up with D and A+C team up against them, but then X double-crosses Y, so the D hits the V, and then the T's double bounce the D, and then the A drops a bomb, then... "
So, anyway,... basing a show on a guy/family managing the overall alphabet from the start... made sense. Kinda.- Dianne West's part is clunky as fuck.
- I'm surprised that the "pet" bear didn't come into the plot in season 1... I'm sure it will be a cringy resolution to a crisis in later seasons.
- Did I mention the dramatic drop-off on tit-watch-iness? Fucking atrocious. There should be an investigation.
- Curious as to Seasons 2 & 3 - already downloaded, but... I'll give it some time before diving back into this particular mess.
Also - the fact that the surname of the protagonist family - McClusky - always reminds me of a guilty pleasure band - so much dumb fun - and so appropriate

@Kruse Why aren't you watching Disclaimer? Leila George's boobs all over the place.
Is that the chick from Animal Kingdom TV show - they look pretty good clothed, so Disclaimer you say.
@Kruse Going by Mayor and Yellowstone Sheridan likes his pale redheads. Not being too fond of them myself I wasn't as excited as you by the boobs in S1. I'm midway through S2, your paragraph on A, B, C etc is bloody accurate. I think he learnt that style working with Kurt Sutter on Sons.

My only excuse was ignorance - never heard of it.
But some quick research suggests that these boobs you speak of belong to "young Smurf" from Animal Kingdom? I'm fucking sold - as @Nepia says - they looked fine in tight t-shirts, I'm definitely down to see more of those puppies. -

Yeah - to be honest - I was thinking of Sutter. I'd forgotten that he was a different person to Sheridan.
And yeah - I wasn't overly fond of the pale redhead from Yellowstone, and they usually aren't my thing in general - but the method by which the Kingstown one was introduced - had me converted for the duration of that season. -

She has good genes. Her mother (Greta Scacchi) was an absolute smokeshow when she was younger.

Her Dad was fighting above his weight ... Vincent D'onofrio

And that's some considerable weight.

Sweetpea - Ella Purnell plays the part of a nobody, who in a moment of rage at being a nobody, murders someone, and then, another....
Starts off promising enough, but after about 3 (of 6) eps, her erratic behaviour and stupidity becomes annoying, the final ep was decent setting up a 2nd season, but I'm not sure I will bother.
-
I was looking at this one and then though... Nah.
I quite like the female protagonist type stuff but there seems to be a lot of jumping on that bandwagon but doing it cheaply and cutting corners quality wise so that it becomes just lazy drivel.
Shame.

The appeal of Tulsa King was that it was dumb fun with Stallone as an unbeatable 70 yo criminal nice guy. Getting Sons of Anarchy level stupid this season though.
At least it got to two seasons before getting stupid unlike Mayor of Kingstown - which I'm still watching anyway.
