I didn't think Williams made a bad job of reffing the game. I don't mind him as a ref, but none of them worry me anyway. I think as a rule the refs make a good job of a complicated game.

I had actually gone for Grant, Tuputupu and Lakai, but admot to really struggling to pick them.

Watched the game at the pub, which is the never the easiest place to concentrate, but was impressed by Sotutu's defence. He put in some solid hits against the best attacking team.

Rayasi was outstanding when he was on

Sangster was impressive too

And Higgins is class. Far and away better than PUJ. Maybe needs to work on his kicking game but his passing, decision making and defense is first rate

My point is there are big blowouts every week, and most games you know who’s going to win, which in my opinion is boring.

As I said before the game, McMillan got some of his selections wrong for this game. Some players are better suited to being subs.

Had ENS gone to 15 when Stevenson off and Rona wing defence would sure have looked a lot more solid.

On that, ENS had a storming start to the season, but his form has definitely dipped in the past couple of games. If can get back to start of the season form I'd definitely be looking at him for ABs.

Very talented, but defence seems less of an issue at 15.

But a number of others would have been worthy too. Great situation to be in when a few years back it was in some games Savea and sometimes Barrett and no one else

Tosi is the one who has stepped up very significantly this year. Last year, he could not scrum. Now, he is a beast at scrum time. And he is very effective in the loose, making the hard yards and he also has good hands. He is the second best THP in NZ, IMO. I would be delighted to see him get a call for the ABs.
