Also looking, no English club has ever spent their entire history in the top flight. 2 Scottish clubs, 2 German clubs and 1 Italian team has though.

@Hooroo When I think of Huddersfield I am always reminded of this song. BTW, Rod Smallwood is a mate of Wayne Smith's.

@Rocky-Rockbottom wheels are off at Anfield. Teams have worked out to give us the ball, and sit back. We can't power these teams aside, as our game is about hustling teams and then punishing turnovers. If Liverpool have huge amounts of possession we'll lose.

Hull have really turned things around though, and might go from a complete cluster fuck to surviving.

    Give Chelsea the trophy

Spurs muddle their way past Middleshite. God I hope those negative pricks get relegated. Their keeper started time-wasting after 30 fucken minutes. In the first bloody half. Score still 0-0.

Village madness at Hull. Liverpool with ALL the possession and they somehow conspire to lose 0-2. Mustered about 3 shots on target. Hull didn’t even venture out of their own fuckin half. Except to score. Lpool with all their guns playing too. Coutinho was absolute shit.

If Liverpool don't score it leaves their shaky defence at risk. Bloody hard to score when the other team packs in on defence, spurs had the same thing at Sunderland

See, Liverpool play teams who want to attack and we're gold. Even with Lucas at the back we keep Spurs goalless

Leicester now 1 pt above the relegation zone. Perhaps they'll create EPL history 2 years in a row?

Leicester look doomed. Falling down the table, haven't scored in ages, and they don't look to have a clue how to turn it around.

I'm really hoping Allardyce takes Palace down. And surely Sunderland can't come 17th again.

So they are my pick for the drop.

The top is ridiculous now. Chelsea clear. If City win tonight they'll be 8 back. But it will be 4 points covering 2nd to 6th.

Shame about Leicester. Funny how the last 2 champions in a row have suffered catastrophic follow up seasons. Although Leicester isn't far off expected, Chelsea certainly was.

Good tussle at Burnley last night, hard place to get points.

Some stats about Leicester (to date):

    • the first reigning top-flight champions to fail to score in six consecutive league matches.

    • are the only team in the top four divisions of English football to not have scored a goal in 2017.

    • have now gone over 10 hours in the Premier League without scoring a goal.

    • are the first defending champions in English top flight history to lose five consecutive games since 1956.

    • Jamie Vardy has not registered a shot in the Premier League since December 17th.

    • have not won away from home in the Premier League since April 2016.

Leicester in the last 3 seasons

    Played 29, Won 4, Drew 7, Lost 18. PPG = 0.66
    Played 47, Won 30, Drew 13, Lost 4. PPG = 2.19
    Played 25, Won 5, Drew 6, Lost 14. PPG = 0.84

And even better, they get to play in the Last 16 of the Champions League soon ......

Leicester City have sacked manager Claudio Ranieri. I don't think he deserves this and I hope they get relegated now.

I'm with you, that's an appalling decision. Win the league, have your best player sold, still the next year have a great shout of making the Champs League quarters. And get the sack with 13 games to go.

    I hope they go down.

Agree with the decision to sack Ranieri.

Sentiment won't get you anywhere and Leicester clearly in all sorts of bother.

Pretty much every other team in the PL would be sacking their manager if their team was in the same position on the ladder as Leicester are, and performing as Leicester are.

No idea who new manager might be or if he can arrest the slide and don't particularly care but agree with the decision to sack.

2 years ago at this stage, Leicester were 4 points adrift at the bottom of the table and didn't sack their manager ... and stayed up.

Imagine telling their fans at that time that 2 years later they would be 2-1 down after the away leg of the Champions League last 16 and that they would sack their manager ......

The rumours where that player power forced Ranieri out but now some of those high profile players are using social media to thank him and distance themselves from that accusation.
