I think they are more likely to choose an Aussie as Head Coach and Joe as an assistant coach and use him in a similar way the All Blacks did.

If they reappoint cheika they're quite frankly insane. Larkham isn't ready. Palmer Mackellar might be tempted back from Leicester but again: ready?

Laurie Fisher isn't a head coach but would make a great assistant.

Somewhat surprised at some of the negative kiwi reaction re Joe becoming the Wallabies coach. I was expecting 'mild disappointment' at him taking the job, not effigies being burnt.

Yeah it has that feel about it that something has crashed and burned between Schmidt and the NZR.
