Phew, made it through despite @Virgil's best efforts. That's a great recovery from the youngsters. Very well played Raval.
Interview with CDGH is pretty cringe worthy, he's a man of few words that's for sure. Biggest nose since Rutherford and an epic mo, I sense cult hero status before long. He bowled some beauties for most of his wickets too.

Great to see Colin succeed. Always loved watching him play for Auckland even though I thought his international days were well behind him.

Having CdG there smacks of them picking an allrounder just for the sake of having an allrounder.
If they didn't want Neesham, I'd prefer they picked Henry.
BJ moved up to 6, Astle 7, Henry 8, Wagner 9, Southee 10, Boult 11.Still a decent lower order that can probably all pitch in to score any runs we miss out on by not having an allrounder.

Raval looked alright actually. Proper opener.
Good leave - including leaving based only on length, big step forward, new his scoring areas (straight drive, pull, clip).
I only watched his first hour, but only had about 3 mistakes in that time (loss of concentration to play defensively and miss a widish out swinger he should have left, thick outside edge for 4, and a closish but missing lbw non-shout)
So no obvious weaknesses exposed yet.
