Did I hear it correctly, did Scott Barrett come on for Squire? Is SB playing at 6, or has one of Retallick/Whitelock moved?

Whitelock played flanker in Brisbane 2011 after Thomson and Read were injured in the first 20 minutes. I imagine he is here too - a lot to ask of a rookie in Barrett to play out of position.

Agree on Barrett try - but not sure on your maths. Generally after a penalty try 5 points are awarded and then a kick from in front takes place - we have to believe even despite his issues Barrett would have kicked that.
So even if that was forward (which it clearly wasn't) still 14-9.

All the whinging bullshit Irish window dressing aside Ireland have came to play today - they still don't have much on attack unless they catch you on a bad day - but absolutely full credit for actually fronting and giving a good tight test.
Schmidt has Ireland playing the type of rugby Gatland has spent 10 years trying to get Wales to play.
