@Billy-Tell That's an epic whinge packed into a short report of a radio interview.

    Here's the highlights:

I thought I was at the Colosseum on Saturday night...
    deeply, deeply disturbing
The game is in serious trouble, because this is a disgrace
What happened to Robbie Henshaw is a disgrace
I think there was three head injuries, a number of neck injuries
The All Blacks raped my grandma and poured sugar in my petrol tank.

Paul Kimmage has been winding himself up into a lather on rugby for some time, and he has them now firmly in the crosshairs of his crusading sights. It's not really a New Zealand thing, it's more, well, all of rugby really.

Ah look I know you are Irish Poth Ale, and I know Kimmage is not really a rugby-head, but the Indo is just publishing these articles one after the other. I would hate to have fought alongside an Irishman in one of the world wars, "harden up" is just not an Irish characteristic. If the Irish win it's Guinness all round, and if you lose it's salt and vinegar chips (extra strong), seasoned with bitter lemons. What cracks me up is Irish rugby fans go on and on and on and on about the Welsh being poor losers etc, and I feel like saying "you can buy a mirror cheaply at the €2 shop". Yes, there are exceptions and we have had a couple of very balanced irish posters here, but in general whether it's Irish websites, English websites, the Roar that you frequent, the rugby forum, planet rugby, it's just a whinge-fest from irish posters. Not to mention the hypocrisy - the depths some Irish went to defend SOB's punch against France in the RWC pool match last year were just risible. Then you see irish media manager go on.

I would love to hear Schmidt go "would you please shut the f up, we got beaten by a side that defended better than we attacked, end of story"

As pointed out by others, if it's always external factors that explain your losses, you'll never take a hard look at what the Irish team could/should do better.

The French game this week will be a breath of fresh air.

As an aside, I'm picking Australia to beat ireland but (sadly) lose to England. I hope Ireland beat England though in the 6N

      a) Because it's England
      b) Because England with 19 consecutive test victories would require Ireland to export me some of its choicest lemons to suck on.

Is he the head injury crusade guy? What's his background?

Dagg will need to be washed with holy water if he goes to Leinster and all will be right and he will then be canonised as a saint.

Did Israel Dagg manage to decapitate any Irish player last weekend?

Rumour has it that he may "be headed" to Leinster next season. Chortle, chortle.

On the plus side we can tell adidas to stop making the armbands to match the new jersey.

BT - you're evidently carrying a spear for Ireland and the Irish. That's fine, that's your bag. Generalisms about whinging, hardening up, etc, etc are just so much hot air. Much like the media articles that seem to be upsetting you so much. I'd question if you ever would want the opportunity to fight alongside someone Irish in any kind of war - sounds to me like you'd want to be on the other side. πŸ˜‰

BT - you're evidently carrying a spear for Ireland and the Irish. That's fine, that's your bag. Generalisms about whinging, hardening up, etc, etc are just so much hot air. Much like the media articles that seem to be upsetting you so much. I'd question if you ever would want the opportunity to fight alongside someone Irish in any kind of war - sounds to me like you'd want to be on the other side. πŸ˜‰

One thing I would say is that at the game I was sitting beside an Irish acquaintance who is a good rugby man. Before kick off we discussed Jack O'Piper and he indicated that the Irish didn't like him after he let Guirado hammer Sexton with impunity in the previous France match. Not whingeing, just stating the fact. No quibbles after the event with the result. Did bemoan the fact that poor Irish kicking helped our cause significantly. Thought Barrett strip ought to have been a try. Like everywhere some Irish flamin gallahs but also some great rugby folk.

I'd question if you ever would want the opportunity to fight alongside someone Irish in any kind of war - sounds to me like you'd want to be on the other side. πŸ˜‰

As an aside why do you spend so much time on this forum, the roar, posting comments on stuff etc and not on those of your compatriots?

It's a free world and you do want you want, your views are enjoyed but do you not pine for the comforts of home at times?

There aren't any discussion fora in Ireland like the Fern or the Roar. I enjoy discussions with fans from further afield than Ireland. I enjoy writing articles from time to time on different aspects of rugby which these fora allow me to do.

I do participate in a discussion forum from U.K., mainly to do with club rugby and sometimes the Six Nations.
