@mn5 It was very confusing. I must have missed something as I can't remember why/how Carol and the King's lot were left dazed and just who they were chasing. Did it happen in the previous epsiode?

@catogrande IIRC one of the 'baddies' detonated a bomb or something in front of the door which obviously housed a bunch of walkers.

So apparently that dude double crossed them, so where is he?

Need to tie this up soon, the whole Negan storyline has gone on far too long now.

Not wrong @taniwharugby Negan and Simon are sorely missed. Also that chick who led the weirdos in the junkyard who double crossed Rick and the gang.

The chick who got bitten after running out of ammo. Who was she ? Her inevitable death seemed pretty full on considering she's a character I have no idea about.

When the Negan storyline is over where to then? He is a more compelling baddie than the Governor which is a good effort but surely there can't be another bad guy to top him....

@mn5 I like Negan, but in small doses, when he has too much screen time, he comes across as overplaying things.

Ideally, he should disappear for a season or 2 rather than die.

Yeah they tried to have all these varied story arcs which gave random people more time on screen than before (that chick who got bitten) but it ended up just being messy IMO.

@taniwharugby @MN5 I've never liked Negan, find him a stupid character (similar to the Governor, although as silly as he felt back in the day he seems a more grounded character than Negan), and find him (the actor) to be overplaying every little thing - also he should have been shot last week.

Hopefully the where to from here is cancellation, because clearly I'm hate watching the show at the moment ;).

@nepia in small doses, I think his character and the way he portrays him is excellent, but too much, and yep, overplays it and hams it up and he annoys me.

I guess the Father could have killed Negan, but unlikely as his death is likely to be overplayed as well.

bit of an odd episode really.

Not sure where Negan is at now (hiding in a cabin/caravan with the Father?) plus not sure why those people with the big guns sat there and let their men be slaughtered while waiting to shoot the King and his team.

Never liked really liked Morgans character, but reckon Jesus is the one being a dick there.

Daryl was pretty cold last night.

Need a bit of direction as it is a bit messy at the moment, deal with the Saviours, let Negan run off to re-group for a couple of years and do something else.

Any appearances from Simon? ( no I don't care about spoilers)

    @mn5 Simon?

Negans version of Darth Vader, ie his 2ic.

I don't blame you for your confusion. There is about a million characters after all.

@mn5 ah him...no, but assume he and the other dude, Dwight (who gave the info to Daryl) are involved in the heavy gun ambush of the Kingdoms people.

You've been ranting for the last two seasons but I have to admit I'm starting to agree with you

Only two seasons? I thought I'd been hate watching at least since the Governor days.

@nepia if you don't like a series, you don't have to watch it to be cool, stop watching 🤣

I still haven't given in to your peer pressure over The Wire, watched the first half dozen or so eps (first few twice) and still cant see the big deal, so I quit, easy peezy!

I've invested in 7 seasons now so I'll continue to hate watch, I can swear at it as I watch, come on here complain about it a bit more at the end of each episode - it's all gravy.

As for The Wire, if you don't want to watch the greatest show of all time then that's up to you.

Another meh episode overall.....I did like Daryls ruthless execution of the guy they were negotiating with though.

I wonder how many him and Rick have killed between them over the years?

That was a great end to a tiresome scene. I had no idea who that guy was even though we're supposed to remember him I guess.

@nepia yep, kinda like that chick last week, they put a bit of time and focus on her, only to kill her, making you wonder who TF she was that they gave her a decent speaking part!

As above, this war needs to end soon and get a bit more structure to the story, too chaotic and directionless!

I don't mind a long war, if it wasn't so directionless and ham fisted. My idea of a guerilla war culminating in a big battle near the end of the season is much better than what they're doing. 😉
