If the Chiefs are going into games with the tactic of niggly off the ball bullshit then they'll very quickly become my hatiest team.

See this is a bit odd to me - they've always been like this under Rennie and especially so against kiwi teams and more especially against "higher-rated" teams.

Definitely used this tactic against the Crusaders in recent times (it's worked too, as it did against the canes)

So what you're saying is they should already be my most hatiest team... 🙂

Yes, and when the Blues get good they'll successfully niggle them as well.

I only really noticed that against the Saders because it really got under their skin. Canes/Chiefs games always seemed scrappy from both sides, while Landers/Chiefs games always seemed fairly tame in comparison.

The Canes are the most niggly team IMO. Mainly based around TJP and Coles.
Anyone trying to paint the Canes as victims in the niggle stakes is having a laugh.

But whatever punishment Bird got would be mitigated away because he was dealing with a lippy halfback.
Sometimes some things can slide for the good of the game as a whole 😉

In fact, this should be a new award at the end of the year. Just after Super Rugby Player of the Year, is Best Dealing to a Halfback of the year.

TJP made a lot of progress last year with controlling his emotions, but it will be an ongoing challenge for a guy like him.

Since the match I've read a few quotes indicating that the Hurricanes are a little resentful about the way the Chiefs went about the game. Chiefs have certainly dialed the niggle and abrasiveness up this year, even by their standards.

                        Get on board bro.

Last year one of my most enjoyable games was when the Lions beat them at Hamilton. Have even found myself cheering for a draw when they play against Aussie teams 🙂

I'm a Blues fan, so I'm meant to hate them. But by god they play some good footy at times - Rennie with a dose of Wayne-o thrown in makes for a hell of a footy side.

                          Niggly though.

There was an incident in that game where NMS called the mark and then about 10 minutes later (ok 10 seconds) Cane ran right up to him and got in his face. From that point on Cane was on my "People to Kill List". BBBR and that filthy, thuggish arseclown Bird are also on the list now too.

It's funny how guys you would go gay for when they wear black can be someone you'd like to maim when wearing the jersey of another province/Super team.

Coles and TJP aren't niggly at all. They're just miles better than anyone else playing their positions and any animosity against them is pure jealously. 🎣

@Rancid-Schnitzel Cane has always been a douche. He's the type of guy who would go around pushing people in the back.

@mimic see I've never seen him like that, funny how different we all see things.

If the Chiefs are going into games with the tactic of niggly off the ball bullshit then they'll very quickly become my hatiest team.

See this is a bit odd to me - they've always been like this under Rennie and especially so against kiwi teams and more especially against "higher-rated" teams.

I don't know what you're talking about sir. Baby faced Coles would never hurt a fly and TJP is nothing more than an enthusiatic child. Those Chiefs thugs on the other hand...

Shocking to see BBBR running in from miles away to get a dig in. Good spotting BSG.

BBBR was just telling Hooper to ignore Coles the troll.

And I bet those guys smashed a few beers together after the game.

                                          Rugby is awesome.
