Funny People with Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen etc...

Really strong first hour then it fades. Hard.

The stand up comedy is really good, apparently the Director got them to write their own material. Sandler is really starting to get some good roles these days... wonder when/if we'll get Happy Gilmore 2 - The Tigers Tale!

First half = 8/10
Second half = 3/10

Yeah, it went from being an interesting funny film, to quite forumulaic.

Would have been better if [spoiler:280ukmgi]Sandler had died instead of getting better[/spoiler:280ukmgi]

Saw the Soloist the other night. Really strong performances from Robert Downy Jr and Jamie Foxx and a true story. I say story, but it's more of a slice of life deal. Very good portrayal of mental illness on screen though, very disorientating at times.

Oscar bait written all over it though, which can be a bit trying.

some of the stuff SLJ does was amusing!!

Saw G-Force - kids movie, with super hero Guinea Pigs...

TR Jnr liked, it, I thought it was pretty average for akids flick, even directed by Mr. Bruckheimer
You're a better Dad than me TR, NO WAY would I ever want to sit through shit like that !

Still by the time MN5 jr is old enough I'm sure he'll be keen to go to one of the inevitable sequels.....
ipod mate, plus a 1 hour kip thats how I get through some of the really bad ones. (wife won't let me use the same strategy at school concerts)

In the Loop - promoted as the funniest British comedy in years. Which I guess might be the case if you think hearing someone say fluffybunny a lot is side splitting

Save yrself $15 and go to one of those insullt generating web sites as thats the one piece of humour in the movie - one of the characters rants well but talk about tiresome.

3/10

I am normally a fan of Sandler, but alot of his movies follow that formula; very funny first half, weak through to the last 5 or 10.

(500) Days of Summer. A romantic comedy/drama about a guy who falls in love at first sight with a girl who doesn't believe in love. The film is presented in a non linear fashion, and hops around in random order through various events of their courtship. One of the better flick I have seen this year (along with The Hurt Locker).

Year One; Jack Black, Michael Cera

plus a host of other b list actors.

Had it's moments, but for the large part, pretty average 5.5/10

Sean is a dead set legend and a guy I'd love to meet someday but it can't be denied he has been in some absolute shitters of movies.
I'd love to see this just to see how bad it is.....

Zardoz I think. Sean Connery is easy to categorise. If he has hair in the movie avoid it like the plague
Eh ? he had hair in ALL the Bonds ! Crazy talk dogmeat. Mind you most probably true in every other case....
The Rock, The Hunt For Red October, Highlander has hair in all of those and all are pretty good.

I think any movie where he has some floppy fringe type deal going on is likely to be crap..Or obviously pony tail.
