    found this interesting:

    http://www.independent.ie/sport/rugby/lions-tour/neil-francis-only-two-all-blacks-would-get-in-their-2005-side-new-zealand-are-now-doubted-favourites-35900468.html

"That was an exceptional side and the only players from the current side that would have a chance of getting in would be Brodie Retalick and Read."

I think our 2017 forward pack as a whole is much better than the 2005 version. Our current locking pair is pretty special.
Obviously 2017 backline is inexperienced - but I would take Smith with one arm over Marshall.

    2005 team:

    1. Mils Muliaina
    2. Doug Howlett
    3. Tana Umaga
    4. Aaron Mauger
    5. Sitiveni Sivivatu
    6. Dan Carter
    7. Justin Marshall
    8. Tony Woodcock
    9. Keven Mealamu
    10. Carl Hayman
    11. Ali Williams
    12. Chris Jack
    13. Jerry Collins
    14. Richie McCaw
    15. Rodney So'alo

Never heard of that Rodney So'alo fella.

Really? JC was in his prime. I'm not convinced Kaino is any more.

Fucking Norwegians have turned on us... forecasted precipitation is growing.
Goddamn Scandinavians, might have to go over and seduce some of their women - just for, you know, the principle of it all.

Don't do that. You might get stuck there for 12 years....

Have to trust the Norwegian weather forecasters. Other than cross country skiing, all they ever talk about is the weather.

Judases north of the border too

As cries of ‘Come on the All Blacks’ and ‘Greig Laidlaw should be starting’ come from north of the English border, the rest of us look on with a degree of incredulity.

                                  http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/disgruntled-scottish-rugby-fans-who-13296953

Quite rightly the only starting Laidlaw will be doing is packing.

Judases north of the border too

As cries of ‘Come on the All Blacks’ and ‘Greig Laidlaw should be starting’ come from north of the English border, the rest of us look on with a degree of incredulity.

                                  http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/disgruntled-scottish-rugby-fans-who-13296953

Quite rightly the only starting Laidlaw will be doing is packing.

Scottish rugby is in full meltdown on the Facebook page I follow. It's fucken amusing. Aside from an argument for Seymour on the bench they're clutching at straws. I think some are still hoping for a late call up for Barclay or one of the Grays.

For the first time in my life I have bet against the ABs as an emotional hedge. Sold the ABs points handicap @ +12.5. I feel dirty.

I don't know if the NZ Tab offers it but many online bookies offer a first half only head to head, start and points total. The odds aren't quite as good, but you get the same effect with the chance of a win/win.

Seti Afoa interviews Stephen Jones who believes the All Blacks will win by a score. Interesting interview.

Not that I'm a gambler but Oddschecker.com shows international bookies are rating the ABs.

                                        https://www.oddschecker.com/au/rugby-union

NZ range from $1.18 (Sportsbet.com.au) to $1.25 (Betfair).

Lowest odds on the Lions $4.30 (a mob called TopBetta) up to $4.80 (William Hill), although they show Betfair at $5.30 but in a different category (anyone know what an "Exchange" is?).

@booboo historically the ABs bounce back hard from a loss, so no surprise the bookies arent offering too much.
