I have four or five pints and (so am) a fat fluffybunny.

Drew the obvious conclusion for you mate ....

I wouldn't want to drive after that much unless I had consumed them over several hours. The guidelines suggest 6 hours to be certain (for a non Jabba sized fluffybunny). I know they are massively conservative but ...

I hear you and my post was misleading. It isn't 4 or 5 pints rather 4 or 5 handles, so two 1 litre jugs equiv.

    @hooroo you still drink Waikato?

Yes. That is generally in the fridge as I can have a few and not feel ropey. Also I can have 4 pints of Waikato st the pub and drive where if I have craft beer I can’t.

Even four of those 'beers' is a bit risky with the limit being 250 these days.

Not when you’re a fat fluffybunny. I have have been breath tested more than once with four or five pints and passed.

wait, i think i saw you on a drink drive ad in the 90s, something about country roads, and taking a keg to get you pissed?

Like anything it's subjective. Chronic alcoholics can be skinny as fuck and need to drink a lot to get them over the limit.

I blew 236 after two Craft beers and a bowl of fries over the xmas break. Turns out they were both 8% ( I thought they were 5% )

    Anyone tried Hop Federation's Lager?

It's only 14 on the IBU scale, so might be a bit too light in that regard.

Too much DMS. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Mediocre.

I am just astounded at how much smokes cost. And booze in this country is out of control as well.

    Not if you homebrew 🙂

was in town at the weekend for a rare night out. Bought a beer at a pub. Not even half a litre (a small handle - probably 440 or something like that).

Sixteen farking dollars. I almost choked.

Reminded me why I homebrew ...

oh god, home brewers. The worst of the beer piston wristed gibbons. Taste my brew. Isn't it great? It's based on an American Pale Ale. You'll get hints of citrus yadda yadda. And it only costs me $20 a carton mate. Best thing i ever did. You should do it too.

Yea fuck off mate, i'll let the experts do their thing.

Is he trying to insinuate that you are a beer philistine? Don't worry, I still drink Corona and Speights along with my Garage project stuff, which is as far as I'll venture into craft beer land 🙂

    Are You A Beer Snob?

    Are You A Beer Snob?

When it comes to beer, some people are witless criminals and some people are cultured experts. Are you a life-ruining swill-guzzler who will drink it…

Before I take a sip of beer, I smell the beer, and while I smell the beer, I turn to the person next to me and say, “I am smelling the beer.”

I like Hapi Daze(?), the one with the red can and car on front is quite good too. Still got time for a dirty mainstream bevvie too though

I must admit to being far less of a beer piston wristed gibbon of late. Even I got sick of the constant, well, wankness of it all. Plus craft beers bloat the fuck out of ya. So definitely a bit of a treat every now and again compared to the past.

Some of Garage Projects beers are nothing short of ridiculous.

I couldn't resist buying a bottle of this. A decent drop for a typical English ale.

Strange thing is that I drink cask ales when at the pub and canned/bottled at home. Never touch bottled ales or draught IPAs etc.
What is good now is that there are “mass produced” beers in the styles made popular by boutique brewers that are actually quite good in both taste and price. They will always have a premium over vaguely malted fizz simply due to ingredient cost but the ridiculous price levels of old are decreasing along with the need for every flannel wearing, bearded, tattooed loser to become a brewing artist.
