Having missed my morning 5km due to rain, I decided to get home and try again as the sun was sort of out.

Got a couple of km into it and wasn't feeling in any way good, so I locked it off at 3km in just under 17 minutes. Using strava now which seems a good app, but I'm still figuring out the config.

@mn5 are you referring to my chins from the photo above? 😉

I'm getting a little soreness in my right forearm but think it's muscular 🤔 nothing more to report really, probably because I'm not straining for extra reps.

That's how I always injure myself weight training: going for an extra few lifts and letting technique fail.

The fact I can do 5 proper form chinups right now is enough, as it shows progress.

Next step is probably to up the rep count for each of the pushups, chins, neutral grip and pullups.

        But tonight is Pilates

          Ha. Very good from you.

I was close to 20 pull ups but then persuaded the boys to take a video and turns out the form was a bit shitty and the ROM was as well. I can do 14 proper ones now which I'm pretty happy with. 20 is still the goal though.

Pilates last night was good as always. Adds that something extra to my core and mobility in my joints. Feeling trim through the waist as well.

Tonight Miss TA was back at dance class which is situated near some urban bushland with walking tracks. Did a quick 2km and it was bloody humid I must say. Got home and still raining (fucking storm in fact) so no chinups tonight.

Instead I decided to get my pushups to sets of 15. Now I was watching Ash Vs Evil Dead on my tablet in between sets and lost count, so I'm sure I did at least 5 sets, but it may have been 6. Tell you tomorrow when the DOMS kicks in!

Weather a bit naff this morning and it was Miss TA's birthday so had to be around for the morning ritual. No run.

              Bar work tonight instead.

              Chinups: 3, 4, 3
              Neutral: 4, 4, 3
              Pullups: 3, 3, 3, 3

And then, because the other two were over 10, I did another three chinups for good measure.

Note there was no specific rest period - just so them in between stuff over the course of about 45 minutes

5km this morning in 28:36 which is aPB for my over-40 self. Given I've not done much running lately that was a good effort.

                Now shower and weigh in.

                  96 kg even
                  Chest 112
                  Waist 106
                  Hips 107

Not bad considering it was a fairly slack week for eating and running

SLR STRENGTH TO FAIR PLUS.@nta Excellent bro. It has been cool throwing out my fat clothes and when I fit into a 34 it was like this is gold. Funny I went to go on a weekend ride with my friend and i tried on a pair of jeans (it was summer so I am shorts all the time), and I had to cinch up the belt to keep them on. Great feeling.

5km this morning in ~29 minutes. Didn't look at the phone for my split times until 500m from the end, then I tried to gun it the last 200m but couldn't make back the time. Would love to crack 28:30 as a starting point, then get on to 28.

Some time in between that, I'd like to have a crack at a 16-minute 3km.

Pilates last night. Wasn't really feeling it so I'll have to go a bit harder next time.

Walked 3km at lunch and 4km tonight.

                                    Body weight training by tonight.

                                    Chin up: 5, 5
                                    Neutrals: 4, 4, 3
                                    Pull ups: 3, 3, 4

Pushups: definitely 5 sets of 15
