Lots of errors in attack in the first quarter for the Blues. Canes try came from a Plummer grubber that went wrong.. 60m run for the try

Canes on the goal line for ten minutes but great Blues defence held them out.

Plummer got an outside break and feed inside to Visinia for the Blues score

Haven't seen who is listed as coaching the Hurricanes side but it does look to have all the hallmarks or Earl Va'a being involved. Just having a quick look through the away team and from memory it looks like a couple of that team might have played on a side rolled for over 100 points by Hastings BHS last year.

7 gave away dumb ruck penalty 1m form the opposition goal. Didn’t really notice the halfbacks

Perofeta looks good already. Variety of attacking kicks, sneaks through traffic and a good offload.

Hyland scores after a long build up

Perofeta with another half break and offload, Leger with a good run. 50m and several phases later Adrian Smith is held up
