From LA to Detroit. That's rough.

OKC follow that great win over GSW with a 1 pt home loss to a good Pistons team and then a big away defeat to the woeful Mavs. No consistency yet.

I’m officially on the Detroit “no names” Pistons bandwagon.

OKC still haven’t won a close game this season. There’s a few issues still about what happens at the close of a tight game. Russ was jacking up a lot of bricks in this game. Was tough to watch.

I remember when you made this comment, the Pistons were coming 2nd in the East, now they're 9th.😄

Kevin Love out 6-8 weeks after breaking his hand in the game today vs Detroit. More strain on a dysfunctional locker room

James Harden appears to have had quite the day out

Elsewhere the Warriors got a bit pumped, which sort of makes everyone happy these days. Cavs lost again too

Spurs hanging in there without their best player. Not really a factor this year though.

Blake about to turn it all around. Good win against the Cavs without Harris or Blake. I think we’ll see Drummond become a more dominant player with another genuine scorer in the team.

@act-crusader until he realises that Blake is a cancer in the locker room. Plenty being said about Doc Rivers and his son being problems but Griffin is a punk.

OKC are a bitch to watch this year. 8 game streak snapped by a John Wall-less Wizards and then they let Jokic geta triple double from centre!. fair enough he is probably this most skilled C in the game but sending Adams out to the perimetre repeatedly to guard Jamal Murray was ridiculous. Every time I think Billy Donovan's coaching has turned a corner he comes up with bonehead shit like this. Adams will be in every highlight reel the NBA puts out this week. And Shaqtin a fool. On the plus side Paul George is emerging as the player OKC really need. It's Russ's team but man I wish it was PGs.

What's the alternative? Going under the screen on Murray? Hell no. It's a better % play to switch. The problem Donovan has is whether to keep Adams in the game late in the piece when several teams go small or have a stretch 5 in the lineup - like Denver has with Joker.

Holy cow, the Cavs have made two massive trades, most significantly IT and Shumpert to LAL for Larry Nance Jr and Jordan Clarkson, a three way trade that sends Wade home to MIA and George Hill to CLE. I'm gonna need a pen to work out who their top 7 are now!

@sneakdefreak Tristan Thompson and some scrubs? Their starting five has basically been gutted. CLE starting 5 I guess is

                      Hill
                      Korver
                      LBJ
                      Love
                      Thompson

Clarkson will provide some bench scoring, Nance is an athletic bench option, don't know about Hood. CLE definitely got a bit younger and more athletic. Still not enough to beat the Western champ though

Was watching Charles Barkley talk about the Lakers aiming to sign Lebron and Paul George in the offseason and he brought up a valid point (he predicts the Lakers will miss on any big signings). Players don't want to sign with storied franchises these days when they can go to another team (with less history) and become the franchise themselves (Cleveland, Miami, Golden State etc).

If Lebron and Paul George want to team up in LA, they will go to the Clippers instead of the Lakers. At the Lakers they are merely following in the footsteps of giants.

I don't think they'll probably get either. The danger is missing out then overpaying for a second tier star

Chuck went to Houston to chase a ring, and they had some recent history under Rudy T.

Players move for 2 reasons: (1) money or (2) the chance to win a championship (eh KD).

George is an LA guy so I expect he'll end up at home.

@bovidae a deep playoff run with OKC will make the decision harder. Players like to play on a winning team too

I'd like PG to stay at OKC but nothing surprises me in the NBA today where marquee players move so often.

Only one game, but it did have a better feel with some youth out there. Plus LeBron actually had a smile on his face after the game.

Good length, much better D and a good vet PG that knows winning.

I watched the second half of the All Star game, probably one of the best AS games I can remember. There was a player draft with Steph Curry and LBJ picking the teams, there was real competition and defence played, the game was decided on a defensive play. The only thing they didn't do was televise the draft which they probably will do next season

Not one trip to the charity stripe for Harden - surely not. 🙂
