 Each time, time really did slow down... I had heaps of time to think about shit, calmly think about options, etc... even if I didn't necessarily take the correct options.
 I seem to recall that my main line of thinking in each case was "Well... this'll be a decent anecdote"
 I assume kids nowadays are thinking... "shit... I wish I had this on GoPro"...
