When you see a wider shot and it shows how close the aircraft carrier was.... Jeez! Testing it's blast wave robustness apparently.

It's about to go into long term refit, and they wanted to see how it dealt with a blast. Older out of service vessels used to be used as targets and tests, interesting that they were doing non destructive on a vessel still in service.

It would be nice if the media made it clear if they're talking about size or TNT equivalent. I suspect the later given how physically large a 40,000 lb bomb would be.

Good illustration of how much the temp has moved in comparison to a long period of time. It is a sudden surge that hasn't been seen before in either direction.
My only gripe is that the projections should being clearly coloured as such. -
