Did he need to though? He wasn't held in the tackle - just bounced to ground. Tacklers hands were off him when he got up.

If he was held, then I believe he would've placed it.. But he wasn't so he stood back up..
Even I didn't know he had to place the ball.. Does this rule apply to ankle taps?

I'd be happy if it did-- but it usually doesn't. Ref could (and shoudl) have checked on the big screen. Hope it's not important at the end of the game

Duffie seems unsure of where to pass then Parsons unsure of the positive points of catching - senior players awful. Both have been leg irons for the blues this year.
