My favourite album of 2018 - Lemon Twigs "Go To School" - this - their second release is a concept album about a couple who can't have kids, so adopt a monkey which they send to school. The 2 brothers in the group have a lot of young Rolling Stones about them, but this album has a range of different styles - reminiscent of Alice Coopers "Welcome To My Nightmare". And they get Todd Rundgren playing the father (not in the music video, but on the album)

@NTA said in What are you listening to, right now................: Watched some Japanese monster movie. These guys played the end credits and it reminded me a bit of some tracks on the M:I-2 soundtrack. Anyway its great Japanese rock. Three words I've never heard in a sentence together before....

1970 Japanese acid rock, channelling Crimson & Sabbath in their own inimitable fashion... first 30 seconds are tough suspense, then comes the metal... killer riffs...

This one is safe for the kids. If you consider copious amounts of psychedlics “safe for the kids.”

This has to be some of the earliest metal recorded. And it’s about environmental destruction, oh baby! Iron Butterfly was listening. Truly a band ahead of their time.

@MajorRage said in What are you listening to, right now................: I've just discovered Greta Van Fleet. Think the Black Crowes with Robert Plant on vocals. I totally dig it. Although I do wish the singer at least sounded just a little bit different from Plant. The music is sensational though. yea they are not bad, if a little "heavily influenced"
