Really? Interesting, Lynotts solo stuff was quite different to Thin Lizzy.

@jegga This is one of the songs, later covered by Huey Lewis.

Huey Lewis plays harmonica on Thin Lizzys live and dangerous album . I love that album , its Thin Lizzy at their absolute peak.

I saw a chart in a magazine once of all the musicians who've switched between Little feat , Huey Lewis and the news and the Doobie brothers and a couple of other very similar bands. They're a pretty incestuous bunch

    Bill Payne!

@booboo Pierce Brosnan's wife is the hot women in that video. Time hasn't been kind to her.

Yeah ok. Google is not your friend on this occasion.

Not pointing fingers as I like my food too ...

This is the best "80's" track:

I'm still annoyed that it was never used in a Miami Vice episode.

    Album length version:

    No it's not.

(feel free to now tell me I have to prove that it isn't or that statement will remain as being definitive 😉 )

@Crucial 80's was in quotation marks! That tune was developed in a National Laboratory by 4000 people to be the epitome of a Miami Vice rock track.

Been listening to Coast fm at work, not my choice. Its not as bad as expected, theres a bit of motown and a lot of the 60s british bands which I like, unfortunately ABBA appears at least once a day. Lots of these songs I haven't heard in quite some time, some observations

Elton john singing about returning to his redneck ways is one of the most preposterous things I've heard in a song.

Annie Lennox has been off the scene for so long I've almost forgotten how closely she resembles Skeletor and can just appreciate her voice.

Some old songs are very rapey

    My Shorona

Never gonna stop, give it up, such a dirty mind
I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind
    My, my, my, aye-aye, woo!

    Grease

Tell me more, tell me more
Was it love at first sight?
Tell me more, tell me more
Did she put up a fight?

Young girl is the reigning champ though, ffs

Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
    Better run, girl
    You're much too young, girl
With all the charms of a woman
You've kept the secret of your youth
    You led me to believe
    You're old enough
    To give me Love
And now it hurts to know the truth
    Whaoo-oh-oh
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
    Better run, girl
    You're much too young, girl
    Beneath your perfume and make-up
You're just a baby in disguise
    And though you know
    That it's wrong to be
    Alone with me
That come on look is in your eyes
    Whaoo-oh-oh
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
    Better run, girl
    You're much too young, girl
So hurry home to your Mama
I'm sure she wonders where you are
    Get out of here
    Before I have the time
    To change my mind
'Cause I'm afraid we'll go too far
    Whaoo-oh-oh
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
    Better run, girl
    You're much too young, girl
Young girl, get out of my mind
My love for you is way out of line
    Better run, girl
    You're much too young, girl

@Tim That's been one of my my favourites since forever. It also has Mark Knopfler on steel guitar and an Tony Levin on bass. Far and away the best solo track from Ferry IMO.
