@mn5 If you scroll down the that thread, someone mentions there is precedence for a lawsuit from 1996 or whatever.

    You mean this?

Because an accident in an entirely legal element of the game is a very, very different thing to assault.

Neither of those 2 are clearly lawyers. In fact, what I like about the whole judicial process is that it is strictly legal. The lawyers don't give a rat's arse whether people want the ABs hung drawn and quartered.

I'm not a lawyer but one guy threw a punch...if you take that as a precedent then you would have to prove Ofa deliberately set out to maim the French lad...not a chance that gets through a court of law.

Hence the citing commissioner looked at the legalities and decided no laws had been transgressed.

Dont let logic get in the way of another AB witch hunt by Nth Hem rugby media, and social media fans. Just wait until Nov it will be ramped up 1000 times.

All the conspiracy talk is hilarious. Funny how, for a team who basically gets all the calls from the ref, it took us 24 years between winning world cups

@canefan It was said we were chokers up until then, now we are dirty thugs that have the referees association in our back pocket and brown paper bags full of cash left at WR HQ in Ireland.

Rugby vision, has given the French a 2.8% chance of wining this weekend. Is that a bit harsh? I do think the points margin is spot on.

Reading through, it’s actually not too bad. Jones is full of shit as usual, and Gallgher is adamant it’s a red and AB leniency but outside those 2, opinions are fair. Actually to be fair, Gallagher’s problem is with world rugby, not ABs.

Cleary thinks red to be consistent with other decisons, but is no buyer of AB ref myths and dirty players. Barnes is actually in full agreeance of everything. Kelleher is similar to Cleary.

So actually, Jones is the only one gone full predictable retard. But his opinion counts for nothing, as we all know he rarely writes what he actually thinks.

@majorrage Nick Cain subscribes to the theory that we get special treatment. I still think the amount of crap in the press leading up till the Nov tests will be worse than normal due to the ABs having not played England in awhile and after the Lions series.

Based on the way they're going - England will need 15 points from the ref' when they play us.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The fact he is issued with a warning makes the issue worse. WR basically admitting they got it wrong, and yet not issuing any sort of punishment as this would mean theyd be setting a dangerous precedent.

It's entirely possible Freek in his capacity as citing commissioner arrived at this conclusion all on his own. It's just unfortunate that World Rugby is run by incompetents.

I really don't know how much is click baiting to perpetuate opinions that have been created over years and how much is trying to reinforce those opinions for the future.
Just about any crumb thrown out by UK media about the ABs attracts a torrent of cliched responses about favourable treatment, cheating, the haka, thuggery etc etc
Why change it if it works?

It's just uneducated headline readers with no factual basis to the claims they hold dear. A great example is how apparently the ABs always blame the ref so hard after losses that WR is scared of offending them. Try and find me a quote from Hansen blaming the ref.

Pah - it is Man. United, Aussie cricket team, dominant team syndrome.

When you're desperate to see someone beaten, their every transgression is magnified ten-fold.

Even worse when they would've been beaten, but the ref. makes a fuck up (Aussie cricket team in Perth). πŸ™‚

But, winners are grinners. Revel in their angst! πŸ™‚

@crucial All of it is to just keep reinforcing the opinion(in the UK) that we are not good for the game and that we need taking down a peg or 2. They can not stand it how we keep winning and they just cannot fathom why. The advent of twitter hasn't help but just made the opinions stronger. They have a 73% losing record to the AB's at Twickenham they just love that.

@crucial All of it is to just keep reinforcing the opinion(in the UK) that we are not good for the game and that we need taking down a peg or 2. I just usually respond by pointing out that it is an old English tradition to introduce sports to the world so that they can show you how to play them better.

Revel in their angst! πŸ™‚
