Barrett has been really punishing with his defence. Perhaps we have found our long term no 6?

Hemopo looked bloody handy and I reckon Frizzell is going good in his first test. Put in some nice stops.

Hemopo looked really good. Frizzle is missing tackles and looks pretty lost.

End on view Smith holds the frog half so long he couldn't tackle DMac regardless of the ref

Bloody good half of rugby that.

France giving it absolutely everything, jeezus we’ve got to start double teaming them on d to shut down that offload.

Frizell was busy, as was Hemopo in his stint. Barrett excellent on d early on.

DMac playing a composed knock, picking his times when to cut loose.

Our bloody lineout has the wobbles, very messy.

Shit I’m just glad we’ve seen some good rugby from both sides after last weeks shambles.

Lacey's action will hide the fact the ABs managed to completely isolate the halfback. Good play

Watch the replay and you’ll see the halfback only had eyes for AS until it was too late. When he saw DMac it was way too late.

Law 6.10 "If the ball or the ball-carrier touches the referee or other non-player and neither team gains an advantage, play continues. If either team gains an advantage in the field of play, a scrum is awarded to the team that last played the ball."

I went back and had a look at Fofana's try. Dmac was defending wider, and Ioane didn't follow his man in. So, perhaps a bit hard on Goodhue.

France are infuriating. Long bloody season. Should be flogged by third test. And instead play like they’re stepping out for their first run out of the season. Big contrast to Ireland in 2012 when half the team were mentally on the plane chugging beers for the third test in a shameful result.

@crucial 9 doesn't help himself pushing the ref toward Dmac either.

I know I'm already biased against him, but as I'm doing the Ardie Savea (TM - GT12) on him - I can't believe how Frizell is being rated by posters so far.

He's been decidedly average, no punishing hits, lots of second man to tackle or completed ruck, - not really doing much and has missed at least one or maybe two tackles. Hasn't had a chance on attack.

Hemopo looked a lot better in his time on the field.

                      This.

Todd is also looking great. Is Whitelock still playing eight? The new Thorne.

SBW's go forward made a difference to our backline. Was worried he'd be off the pace coming back from injury.

As much as it is annoying and very Wayne Barnes like, the ref has to stand somewhere. If the positioning works out badly it’s tough shit except for the law quoted above.

I have patience with the newbies. It must be nerve wrecking to play your first test match. Some deal with that better than others.

Genia is a master of using the ref as a blocker. I’m sure whinging Meg has done it as well.
